Blizzard Mountain Expansion has gone live for Forza Horizon 3. Blizzard Mountain adds a new high-terrain area to Australia, along with extra events, challenges, and a new campaign. For the first time, players have to contend with snow, heavy wind, and sunlight reflecting off of ice. Seven rides are included to tackle the new environment: 2016 Ford Gymkhana 9 Focus RS RX, 1965 Ford F-100 Flareside Abatti Racing Trophy Truck, 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4, 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Group B, 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept, 2016 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR-Rockstar Energy Pro 2 Truck, and 2016 Subaru #199 WRX STI VT15r Rally Car. MS is hosting a day-long stream to celebrate the release at the official Forza Beam channel, with presenters showing off the latest additions and answering questions.
A new gameplay video has gone live showcasing Doom’s Free Update 5. The update brings a variety of additions and changes, including the new competitive mode Infernal Run for Multiplayer, where teams fight for a ball to score in their opponent’s goal; bot support in the original maps in Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch; and a rank extension to Echelon 11, which unlocks the Doom Marine Armor (Praetor Suit). SnapMap also receives some goodies, including additional elements from the campaign, Lazarus Lab-themed modules and props, and the Doom Marine in the traditional armor. Degica has announced that Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours’ third downloadable pack is set to launch on December 14. The set will consist of three packs featuring different properties from famed shooter developer Cave. Each pack will include a new ship, three stages, and new music from Deathsmiles, DoDonPachi Resurrection, and ketsui. Also included are 10 newly arranged stages, three boss fights, and CS Pack 3, which includes 10 stages from CS mode. The packs can be purchased individually for $4.99 or as a bundle for $11.97. Note that DLC ships can only be used in DLC levels.
Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: Scarif received a new trailer today. The video runs a little over a minute long and features ground- and space-based combat, as rebels fend off an invasion force. The add-on will feature battles inspired by the upcoming film, along with two new playable heroes: Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic. Four new maps are also being added that will introduce the jungles and beaches of Scarif. Along with the maps, a new multi-stage game mode is being debuted that mixes space and ground combat.
Playground has released new details about Forza Horizon 3’s first add-on, Blizzard Mountain Expansion. Scheduled to launch on December 13, the pack will introduce several elements to the series, including blizzards, ice, snow, and high-altitude courses. Players will compete in a 50-plus-event campaign set around Blizzard Mountain to be crowned King of the Mountain. Several of which will involve new race types, including Descent and Hill Climb, while series staples return, such as Blueprints, Bucket Lists, and Rivals. Seven new cars will also be added to the garage: the 2016 Ford Gymkhana 9 Focus RS RX, 1965 Ford F-100 Flareside Abatti Racing Trophy Truck, 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4, 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Group B, 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept, 2016 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR-Rockstar Energy Pro 2 Truck, and 2016 Subaru #199 WRX STI VT15r Rally Car.
Star Wars Battlefront will be receiving its final download pack, Rogue One: Scarif, on December 6. The drop will add four maps set in a new location—the Beaches of Scarif—a multi-stage mode that mixes space- and ground-based combat, and two new playable heroes, Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic. Launching alongside the add-on is the free PSVR-exclusive mode Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission.
Zen Studios is teaming up with Bethesda to bring Doom, Fallout, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to their various pinball platforms. Each series will get its own table next month. Doom Pinball will have players fight their way through hordes of demons in a UAC facility. Fallout Pinball will be set in the wastes and feature Factions to join, Vaults to raid, and Bobbleheads to collect. Lastly, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Pinball is set to have craftable weapons, magic, armor, loot to buy and sell, materials to mine, trainers, and side quests. All of them will have leaderboards, score tracking, and additional social features.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege’s upcoming free update, Operation Red Crow, has received a new trailer. The drop marks the end of the first season of add-on content for Siege, and will add the map Skyscraper, two Japanese Special Assault operators, and new weapon skins. The download will also debut Elite sets, with Kapkan, Sledge and Thermite having access to bundles that include a matching uniform and headgear, an operator card, a charm, an operator name, and a victory animation. The second year of content will begin in February, launching alongside the Six Invitational, an event that will host Pro League matches and gameplay reveals.
Sega has released the second stage for Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live. The $14.99 drop includes six tracks: shake it! – by emon, Quirky Medley – Giga-Remix – by Giga-P/Reol, Mikito P, Hello, Worker – by KEI, Cat Food – by doriko, Tell Your World – by livetune, and Time Machine – by 1640mP. A special performance is also bundled in, LOL -lots of laugh- by mikumix. Stages are available individually or as a set via the Season Pass, with 3rd Stage set to go live in December.
