Three DLC packs, Season Pass announced for The Evil Within

Bethesda has detailed The Evil Within’s post-launch DLC packs and Season Pass. The Shinji Mikami-helmed survival horror title will be supplemented with three download packs, and the pass to access them all will run $19.99. The first pack scheduled to launch, The Keeper (aka Boxman), is a collection of mission-based maps. The last two will make up a single side story featuring Sebastian’s partner, Juli Kidman, fleshing out the plot while adding new areas and new enemies.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment to get content update, free DLC

Bandai Namco has announced a free DLC Costume Pack for their upcoming MMO-styled role-playing game Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment. The promotion is slated to run from launch until November 18 and will net gamers a dress shirt, nightie, school swimsuit, and wedding dress. These items will not be available in any other pack after the promotion ends. An extensive content update was also detailed, which will go live on September 23 and introduce a host of (free) changes, including a higher level cap, from 200 to 250, new bosses, new weapons and armor, new quests, and 50 new Hollow missions. Lastly, fans of the anime and manga can look forward to meeting Alberich and Heathcliff.

A Gold Edition of Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris will launch alongside the standard version, according to Square Enix. The premium set will come packed with a 3” figurine of Lara Croft, an art book, a map of the Overworld, and a DLC Season Pass. The pass will allow access to several packs, including costume, item, and weapon, that will also be launching alongside the game on December 9. The packs will contain six extra costumes, additional tomes, and several unique amulets, rings, and weapons.

Marius Titus marches on, Ryse: Son of Rome announced for PC

After conquering the lands of Xbox Onia, Marius Titus has gathered the remnants of the XIV Gemina and set off on their next campaign to the far off lands of Computoria. Or if you would prefer to skip bad jokes: Crytek has announced that they and Deep Silver will be bringing the action title Ryse: Son of Rome to PC this fall. The new version will be released online and in stores, and it will include all previously released DLC as well as support 4K resolution. The download packs include five skins, 16 Arena maps (five for solo play), Survival Mode, and three extra Survival maps. In addition, PC gamers will also be getting two bonuses that came with the special edition of the Xbox One release, the Ruins multiplayer map and the Legionnaire’s Trust sword.

Nemesis, the final download pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts, is now live for 360 and Xbox One. The $14.99 download includes four multiplayer maps as well as the final entry in the Extinction storyline, Exodus. The maps (Dynasty, Goldrush, Showtime, and Subzero), detailed below, range from small to medium in size and each include their own unique Field Orders. Exodus features different escape paths for a more dynamic last act, plus new weapons to craft and a new Ancestors enemy type.

Call of Duty: Ghosts to round out DLC run with Nemesis this August

Activision has announced the final download pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts, Nemesis. The drop will include four multiplayer maps as well as the final entry in the Extinction storyline, Exodus. The maps (Dynasty, Goldrush, Showtime, and Subzero) are each detailed below, but the batch ranges from small to medium in size and include their own unique Field Orders. Exodus opens up the Extinction mode some with different paths to take during the episode’s final escape, plus new weapons to craft and a new enemy type, the Ancestors.

Frontier’s Edge goes live for PC, Xbox One versions of Titanfall

Frontier’s Edge, the latest map pack for Titanfall, is now available for PC and Xbox One. The $9.99 download includes three new maps: Dig, Export, and Haven. Dig features a series of narrow paths, surrounded by steep rock walls, that connect a network of processing plants; Export is set on the side of a mountain and focuses on close combat; and Haven centers on a beach resort built on the edge of a large crater lake.

Proxy Studios is set to expand their 4X strategy title Pandora: First Contact with a new espionage-themed add-on, Eclipse of Nashira. Scheduled to launch later this year, the expansion will add a new faction that specializes in diplomacy and intrigue, a native alien species, agent units that engage in covert warfare and information gathering, minefields, Amphibious formers to convert ocean tiles into land, and a variety of tweaks to the core gameplay.

Pinball FX2 pushed back to next month for free 360 table transfers

Pinball FX2 has been delayed slightly, but the extra time is for a good reason: free table transfers from the Xbox 360 version. Initially, previously purchased tables would be locked to the 360, but after community feedback, the studio followed up with Microsoft about the process and came up with a solution. As a result, the studio has decided to push the release date back until next month, which will allow them the time to work out the transition process so that players will be able to import their tables at launch.
