GTA Online update adds new Adversary Mode, Tron-style motorcycles

GTA Online has been updated to add a new Adversary Mode, Deadline, along with the futuristic Nagasaki Shotaro motorcycle. The speedy, concept-style bike is unlocked for purchase at Legendary Motorsport once players try out Deadline. The arena racer has four players team up against one another while on different colored, light-trail-emitting Shotaros, trying to outlast each other by avoiding the dangerous trails. Players who take part in the mode can earn Double GTA$ and RP through November 21. Biker Business Sales have begun to celebrate the added bikes, offering 25% off Business supplies and resupplies plus an extra 50% GTA$ and Double RP. Select weapons and tactical vehicles are also on sale.

The Elder Scrolls Online – Orsinium turns 1 with discounts, events

Bethesda is celebrating the anniversary of Elder Scrolls Online’s second downloadable pack, Orsinium. For new buyers, the studio has dropped the price for the add-on by 75% down to 750 crowns ($6.25), while the Collector’s Bundle is 60% off, adding a Cave Bear mount, a Cave Bear pet, and five crown experience scrolls. Current players can earn double loot and rewards from world bosses, daily delves, and the Maelstrom Arena. Resource nodes in Orsinium will also net double the amount of materials. The drop adds a new zone, a single-player monster arena, public dungeons, and an estimated 20-plus hours of story content focused on the Orcs.

Forza Horizon 3 – Alpinestars Car Pack launches, expansion teased

A new set of rides has been added to Forza Horizon 3 with the release of Alpinestars Car Pack. The $6.99 drop adds seven vehicles: the 2017 Acura NSX, 1998 Nissan Silvia K, 1990 Mazda Savannah RX-7, 1967 Ford Falcon XR GT, 2016 Dodge Viper ACR, 2016 BMW M4 GTS, and the 1979 Talbot Lotus Sunbeam. A glimpse at the game’s first expansion, which looks to sport a seasonally appropriate winter theme, was also released and has been posted below the latest pack’s trailer and screens.

The Run the Jewels Air Drop for Gears of War 4 adds the duo as playable characters in Versus Multiplayer and Horde 3.0, complete with likenesses and voices. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition out now for console, PC

Bethesda is bringing The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to the current generation today with the release of Special Edition. The lengthy original adventure is supplemented by all of the expansions, including Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and Hearthfire, which have been graphically updated with remastered art and effects, volumetric rays, reflections, and new shaders for snow and water. Gears of War 4 to get two multiplayer maps on November 1

The Coalition will be boosting Gears of War 4’s map roster by two with the release of Checkout and Drydock. Playable in Versus and Horde, the legacy maps, detailed below, will be available first for Season Pass holders on November 1 as part of the Developer Playlist, and then on November 8 for everyone else. The drop begins the first month of several free map updates, with two scheduled to be released each month thereafter.

Doom – Hell Followed DLC released for console, PC

Doom received its second premium downloadable pack today, Hell Followed. The $14.99 drop includes three multiplayer maps (Argent Breach, Molten, and Orbital), one weapon (Reaper), a piece of equipment (Threat Pulse), a player-controlled demon (Cacodemon), and several hack modules. Customization fans will also find more armor sets, patterns, colors, and taunts. To celebrate the add-on’s release, this weekend will offer double experience from 11:00 a.m. (CST) on October 28 until 11:00 a.m. (CST) on October 31.

Dark Souls III: Ashes of Ariandel goes live for console, PC

It’s time to dive back into Dark Souls III with the release of Ashes of Ariandel. The downloadable expansion finds players exploring the mystery behind an ancient cursed painting. Their journey will take them inside the painting to an area that hosts new enemies, lore, armor, spells, and weapons. A new multiplayer mode is also being added, Undead Matches. The versus mode allows players to battle other Cursed Undead, team up to face off against other teams, and go all in with others in matches of up to five combatants.

Destiny to get a little spooky next week with Festival of the Lost

Destiny’s seasonal festivities are set to begin next week with the Halloween-themed Festival of the Lost. Running from October 25 through November 8, the event will feature decorated social spaces and special goodies, including masks, gear, emotes, and consumables. Several quest lines will also be involved, along with an exclusive one found in Rise of Iron’s social space, the Iron Temple. A trailer, posted below, begins the countdown until the event kicks off next Tuesday.

The Elder Scrolls Online kicks off The Witches Festival

The Elder Scrolls Online is getting into the season today with the commencement of The Witches Festival. Conjurors, demonologists, and other nefarious sorts will meet in secret throughout Tamriel from now until the end of the month. Through their magical incantations, players will be able to turn themselves and others in their group into the Undead, earn event achievements, gain a 100% experience boost, and score themed loot, including exclusive masks. To join, players will need to get the free Crow Caller from the Crown Store, then blow it to engage The Witchmother’s Bargain, a quest that will reward the Witchmother’s Whistle. Using the whistle will summon a cauldron that morphs players into the undead for two hours, during which time, they will be able to gain Festival loot by killing bosses for Plunder Skulls.
