Doom trailer showcases free Update 2, Unto the Evil DLC dated

Doom will be receiving Update 2 tomorrow, a free download packed with maps, added SnapMap functionality, and other goodies. A trailer has been posted offering an overview of everything that will be included. Along with the video, Bethesda has announced that the first premium downloadable pack, Unto the Evil, will go live on August 5. The $14.99 drop is set to include three maps (Cataclysm, Offering, and Ritual), Harvester player-controlled demon, UAC EMG Pistol, Kinetic Mine, modules, and extra customization options. To kick things off, id is holding a Double XP weekend beginning 12:00 p.m. (ET) through 12:00 p.m. (ET) on August 1.

Fallout 4 – Vault-Tec Workshop out now for console, PC

Fallout 4 received a new downloadable pack today, Vault-Tec Workshop. The $4.99 drop adds pre-war industrial kits that offer access to retro-styled art, furniture, and lighting. It also allows Overseers the chance to run Vault-Tech experiments on their Dwellers in order to create the perfect citizen. Members of Bethesda recently livestreamed a walkthrough of the expansion, and an archive of the nearly 42-minute-long stream has been posted below.

Forced Showdown – Drone Invasion to hit Steam on July 31

Forced Showdown is set to receive its latest expansion pack, Drone Invasion, on July 31. The add-on will feature a new campaign, world, 10 enemies, 10 bosses, 22 cards, 10 modifiers, 18 quests, and mode, Mentor’s Maze Show. Players will be able to tackle the extra content with a new character, the mech-suited ex-soldier Settsu. Dubbed a “bullet-hell crawler,” players build decks of power-up cards and engage in twin-stick combat to survive a roguelite experience.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare gets map pre-order bonus, new video up

Infinity Ward announced the return of Modern Warfare 2’s Terminal at their Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare panel at Comic-Con. The map has been reimagined with new environments, now consisting of a shuttle port on the Moon. Players who pre-order any version of the game will be able to download it as the Terminal Bonus Map. Additionally, a new gameplay video was also released from the single-player campaign.

Bungie has released a new trailer for Destiny’s upcoming expansion Rise of Iron. The video showcases a new pre-order bonus, the Gjallarwing Sparrow. Start it to see the ride in action, stay for the ridiculous stunts. Rise of Iron is scheduled to launch later this summer, and note that it will require both parts of The Taken King.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration revealed, including PS4

Rise of the Tomb Raider will be making its way to PS4 this fall in Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration. Scheduled to launch on October 11, alongside updates for PC and Xbox One, the set will include the original game, an additional story chapter titled Blood Ties, Endurance co-op mode, and all downloadable content. The drops add 35-plus Expedition Cards, 12 outfits, and seven weapons. Blood Ties, which will support PSVR, sees Lara back in Croft Manor as she tries to find proof of ownership to resolve a dispute with her uncle. Then, in Lara’s Nightmare, she must defend the manor … from zombies. Endurance challenges teams of two to surviving the elements by day and enemies by night for as long as possible, with results posted to a leaderboard. Classic Lara skins can also be found in new packs. PC and Xbox One Season Pass holders will receive all new content as part of the pass.

Monster Hunter Generations now available for 3DS

Monster Hunter Generations has launched digitally and physically for 3DS. The latest entry in the long-running series tasks players with taking down the Fated Four as they craft new gear with resources harvested from lesser monsters. Players can tackle the quest solo or with up to three friends. The game is compatible with all Nintendo 3DS systems, and a themed, game-less XL is also available, the Nintendo 3DS XL Monster Hunter Generations Edition. To see players off on their adventure properly, a free downloadable drop, the Starter Pack, has gone live to give them a leg up with extra potions, traps, and other goodies. More downloads are in the works, with free quests set to go live the first Friday of every month through the rest of the year. These will also include costumes based on other series, such as Fire Emblem, Okami, and The Legend of Zelda.

Turn 10 has released a pack of hand-selected downloadable cars for Forza Motorsport 6. The Turn 10 Select Car Pack features seven rides for $7: the 2014 Jaguar #14 Emil Frey GT3 Jaguar XK, 2015 Mercedes-Benz #24 Tankpool24 Racing Truck, 2014 Chevrolet #4 ROAL Motorsport RML Cruze TC1 WTCC, 1980 Fiat 124 Sport Spider, 2015 McLaren 570S Coupé, 1969 Ford Brawner Hawk III, and the 1957 BMW Isetta 300 Export. The vehicles can also be purchased individually. Additionally, a content update has also gone live, re-adding three tracks into competitive play: Monza, Catalunya, and Circuit of the Americas. Several changes were made to them, such as Turn 4 in Monza having its tire wall adjusted to change the driving line and reduce corner cutting.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Descent has gone live for PS4. A new batch of screenshots has also been released alongside the drop. Treyarch’s latest features four new multiplayer maps, including a remake of Black Ops II’s Raid, and the next entry in the Zombies’ Origins series, Gorod Krovi. Descent will be available for PC and Xbox One at a later date.

7th Dragon III Code: VFD now available in stores, on eShop for 3DS

Sega has released imageepoch’s latest role-playing game, 7th Dragon III Code: VFD. Players take a squad of heroes through three different time periods to stop dragons from destroying ancient Atlantis, present-day Tokyo, and future Eden. For those wanting some hands-on time, a demo is available on eShop, complete with a host of starting items that carry over to the full version. The first of three DLC waves is also available, adding two new quests. The packs are free for the first week of release, but there’s a slight hiccup on eShop, as they’re currently listed as for-pay. Sega noted that they are currently addressing the problem.
