Battlefield 4 to deploy for PS4, Xbox One, plus pre-order and E3 info
EA has announced that Dice will have PS4 and Xbox One versions of Battlefield 4 ready in time for release this holiday season. Two new pre-order programs have also launched, one for the physical release and the other for digital. The first extra is the digital expansion China Rising for boxed versions, which will include new vehicles, new gear, and four multiplayer maps set in mainland China. PC gamers that pre-order the Digital Deluxe version through Origin will also receive China Rising, as well as bonus items and access to the multiplayer beta.

Battlefield 4 revealed, trailer and screens released
EA has officially announced Battlefield 4. The Dice-developed, Frostbite 3-powered entry is slated to launch this fall and was introduced with a 17-minute video of in-game footage. The trailer follows the player’s character, Recker, escaping from a sinking car, making his way through a desolate building, and meeting up with and commanding fellow squadmates.

Battlefield 3: End Game details, screens released
Some new screens have been released for the Battlefield 3 digital add-on End Game. Set to launch this March, End Game will include not only four new season-inspired maps but also a new dirt bike, two new anti-aircraft vehicles, a new dropship, the return of Capture the Flag and Air Superiority, five new assignments, and 16 new dog tags.

Battlefield 3: Close Quarters in-game shots released
EA has released some new screenshots from the upcoming Battlefield 3 DLC Close Quarters. The infantry-centric pack will feature destructible environments, where everything from the furniture to the plaster is ready to explode into tiny bits, with teams struggling through rubble and debris. Close Quarters will also include four new maps, 10 new weapons, including the M417 sniper rifle and L86LSW machine gun, 10 new assignments, and five dog tags.

Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand dated for consoles, PC
Battlefield 3′s first DLC expansion, Back to Karkand, has been officially dated for a December 6 release on PS Network and December 13 on Live Marketplace and Origin. The $14.99/1200 MS Point pack includes eight maps, two modes, three vehicles, five dog tags, and ten weapons. A few of the maps and modes are some of the franchise’s fan favorites making a return in the Frostbite 2 engine.

Battlefield 3 – Back to Karkand DLC shows off the goods
Battlefield 3′s first expansion, Back to Karkand, will be coming in hot this December with—deep breathe—three new maps, five new dog tags, three new vehicles, including the F-35B STOVL jet fighter, ten new weapons, and a new persistence system. To get everyone ready to revisit Wake Island, Gulf of Oman, and Sharqi Peninsula, EA will be periodically sending out some new shots, a few of which hit today.

Battlefield 3 a go, now available for 360, PC, and PS3
After a very active public multiplayer beta, Battlefield 3 is ready for primetime. The DICE-developed squad-based shooter is now available for the 360, PC, and PS3. Sporting the Frostbite 2 engine, Battlefield 3 features destructible environments along with all of the jeeps, jets, tanks, and airplanes needed to turn the environments into piles of debris—okay, that might be going too far. Battlefield 3 also introduces the Battlelog, a social network service that double as a stat tracker.

Battlefield 3 Multiplayer Beta launching next week
Battlefield 3′s October 25 release is closing in, but action fans looking to get a jump on the multiplayer will be able to try their hand at a multiplayer beta on September 29. The beta, which will be available for the 360, PC, and PS3, will include access to the Operation Metro map, where two teams will compete in Rush Mode and battle it out in the streets of Paris. The Battlelog, the free social network that will keep track of friends and stats, will also be open to beta testers; the network will be accessible through PC, consoles, and handheld devices. Additional info about the beta is available on the official site, while those wanting to keep up with the game’s progress—and score an in-game M1911 pistol and some badges—can check out the EA Gun Club.
