Developer- and Publisher-specific Articles: Devolver Digital
Pixel Titans’ procedurally generated first-person shooter Strafe has been released for Mac, PC, and PS4. Published by Devolver Digital, the shooter, billed as “the much anticipated megahit video game from 1996,” features an arsenal of over 30 weapons, 20-plus enemy types, four zones, and compatibility with Oculus Rift. And pixelated gore. A lot of pixelated gore.
Devolver Digital is set to release three different collector’s editions for Pixel Titans’ Strafe. The upcoming procedurally generated first-person shooter will be available from Special Reserve Games as the Throwback Edition, complete with pogs and floppy discs; the Vinyl Edition with a two-disc vinyl set from Laced Records; and the PS4 Collector’s Box, which comes with a region-free copy of the game for PS4. All pre-orders come with an exclusive weapon, the VV-1N.
Pixel Titans’ upcoming re-imagining of the old first-person shooter Strafe has been dated in a particularly gory trailer. The procedurally generated retro-style shooter is set to launch on March 28 for Mac and PC. Don’t let that last bit stop you from seeing a bunch of exploding pixel heads below, though.
Le Cartel’s side-scrolling brawler Mother Russia Bleeds is now available for PC. As a trapped street fighter, players must battle their way to freedom through the streets of an alternate USSR that is filled with corrupt police, criminals, and forced addicts. They can go at it alone or with up to four players in co-op. In addition to the campaign, co-op is also supported in Survival Mode. The suitably ridiculously violent launch trailer can be found below.
Dodge Roll is prepping a new patch for Enter the Gungeon, the Supply Drop Update. The drop will add over a hundred rooms, along with new companions, bosses, enemy types, shrines, and weapons. Of particular note is the Bullet Gun, a bullet that shoots bullet-shooting guns. Another update is planned for later this year, and an expansion in early 2017. In the meantime, Pax West attendees can check out the new content at booth 2343.
