Homefront: The Revolution gets new guerilla warfare combat trailer

Deep Silver has released a new trailer for Homefront: The Revolution highlighting the role of guerilla combat. Titled Guerilla Warfare 101, the video covers ambushing patrols, modifying weapons, and utilizing the day-and-night cycle to get the drop on enemies. Modulars weapons will allow players to quickly customize their weapons, while a toolkit offers access to a variety of items, including IEDs, incendiary devices, and hacking equipment. All of the tools and weapons will be available in single player as well as online co-op.

Deadlight: Director’s Cut heading to PC, PS4, and Xbox One in June

Deep Silver has announced that they will be releasing Deadlight: Director’s Cut for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The zombie-heavy action-platformer is scheduled to launch on June 21 for $19.99, and for its PlayStation debut, developers Tequila Works and Abstraction Games are adding the new Survival Arena mode. Additional updates will include improved controls, extra animations, and support for 1080p. As introvert Randall Wayne, players must battle their way through a 1986 Seattle overrun by zombies in a quest to reunite with their family.

Homefront: The Revolution co-op mode trailer, details released

Deep Silver has detailed the four-player co-op mode in Homefront: The Revolution. The upcoming open-world first-person shooter’s Resistance Mode will allow players to form a Resistance Cell to battle the KPA in story-driven missions throughout Philadelphia. Players will level as they play, unlocking new skills, equipment, and weapon blueprints. A trailer was released to show the mode in action, while a closed beta is currently scheduled to run February 11-14 for Xbox One. Community members who’ve signed up on the official site will also get a chance to take part in stress tests, which are planned for January 29 and February 5 for Xbox One. Also announced is the Revolutionary Spirit pre-order pack, which will come with unique skins and access to select weapons for the campaign.

Homefront: The Revolution dated, closed beta announced, trailer up

Homefront’s upcoming open-world sequel The Revolution has been officially dated for May 17, according to Deep Silver. A closed beta is also scheduled for February, but it will only be for the Xbox One version, and gaining access to it will require an Xbox One Beta Token. Deep Silver noted that the best way to get a token is by registering on the official site, since it will provide news on the upcoming promotions with Xbox that will reward them. A new trailer has also gone live to get players up to speed before they hit the streets for some guerrilla warfare, with This is Philadelphia detailing the city’s occupation and its zones of control.

inXile updates console version of Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut

The first patch has been released for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut. There are 10 bug fixes and over 20 balance-related issues tweaked in the update. Some of the changes made include improved sound positioning in conversations, increased time for animal husbandry engage, and the removal of Friendly Fire from Master Hunter. After releasing Homefront: The Revolution’s opening cinematic yesterday, Deep Silver has revealed over six minutes of new gameplay footage. The video follows Resistance fighters after they receive a mission to ambush a nighttime patrol in the outskirts of Philadelphia. In addition to conventional weaponry, the group also uses an improvised trap and makeshift explosives to take down armored vehicles, drones, and snipers.
