inXile updates console version of Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut

The first patch has been released for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut. There are 10 bug fixes and over 20 balance-related issues tweaked in the update. Some of the changes made include improved sound positioning in conversations, increased time for animal husbandry engage, and the removal of Friendly Fire from Master Hunter. Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut is now available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. To celebrate, inXile has released a launch trailer showcasing the improvements and new features that they have added to the 2013 original. For those wanting a more personal touch, Brian Fargo and Chris Keenan of inXile will be holding an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit today, from 11 to 1 p.m. (CST).

A new gameplay video has gone live for Wasteland 2: Director’s Cut. The footage runs around five minutes long and features Brian Fargo, CEO of inXile, detailing the game’s reactivity-focused design. There are also demonstrations of the turn-based combat system, destructible environments, and various progression options.

The first trailer has gone live for the Director’s Cut of Wasteland 2. The video, Welcome to the Wasteland, gives a live-action recap of the events leading up to the world’s apocalyptic state and an overview of those that currently inhabit it. The Director’s Cut features all of the updates to the PC version, improved graphics, additional voice-over work, gameplay tweaks, and new features. It will also mark the title’s console debut, releasing for both PS4 and Xbox One.

Watch six minutes of gameplay from Homefront: The Revolution

After releasing Homefront: The Revolution’s opening cinematic yesterday, Deep Silver has revealed over six minutes of new gameplay footage. The video follows Resistance fighters after they receive a mission to ambush a nighttime patrol in the outskirts of Philadelphia. In addition to conventional weaponry, the group also uses an improvised trap and makeshift explosives to take down armored vehicles, drones, and snipers.

Deep Silver releases new Homefront: The Revolution screens, trailer

A new trailer has gone live for Homefront: The Revolution. The upcoming open-world shooter from Deep Silver Dambuster Studios switches things up from the original Homefront by eschewing a linear storyline in favor of greater freedom. Players will be able to tackle missions in any order as they lead a band of resistance fighters against an oppressive Korean corporation in Philadelphia. The group must rely on guerrilla tactics to further the cause, such as ambushes, improvised weaponry, and hit-and-run attacks. After inspiring others to join the cause in the single-player campaign, players can take the war online by linking up with others to form Resistance Cells.

Risen 3: Titan Lords Enhanced Edition release date, trailer released

Deep Silver has announced that Risen 3: Titan Lords Enhanced Edition will launch on August 21 for PS4. Coinciding with the news was the release of the first gameplay video for the new version. The direct-capture footage highlights the graphical upgrade the next-gen version is receiving, including higher resolution textures, new post-process effects, and a volumetric cloud system to enhance the day-night cycle.

Mighty No. 9 Collector’s Edition detailed, new trailer, screens released

Deep Silver has announced that they are expanding their Mighty No. 9 offerings with a Collector’s Edition. The $59.99 set will come with a Launch Edition of the game, special packaging with a foil signature from Keji Inafune, and an individually numbered statue of Beck that stands 6.5 inches tall and sports 14 points of articulation along with three interchangeable faceplates. Both the Limited and Collector’s editions will come with Retro Hero DLC, which will revert the graphics to an older style and add a one-hit difficulty mode. It was also announced that the game will also support cross-buy across all physical and digital versions of PS3, PS4, and PS Vita. And to top off the reveals, a new 60fps trailer, Beat Them at Their Own Game, has also been posted.

GOG (PC) Deep Silver and Nordic Additions - Screenshot 1 has added five titles to their library from Deep Silver and Nordic Games. Each title is on sale as part of a week-long discount to celebrate the deal, with DarkSiders 1 and 2 available for up to 75% off ($7.99, $11.99, respectively), Metro: Last Light Redux for 50% off ($12.49), Saints Row 2 for 60% off ($3.99), and Saints Row: The Third for 66% off ($4.99). All releases are available DRM-free, and as with other older titles, Saints Row 2 has been modified to work without issue on modern rigs.
