Dead Island Riptide now available for 360, PC, and PS3
Publisher Deep Silver has announced the release of Techland’s latest zombie-rific action title Dead Island Riptide. Sequel to the 2011’s Dead Island, Riptide once again puts players in the shoes of stranded islanders attempting to make their escape as they try to survive a zombie apocalypse. New to the series is a fifth team member, dynamic weather conditions, co-op hub defense missions, and additional cop-op communication features.

Deep Silver announces free pre-order DLC for Dead Island Riptide
Deep Silver knows gamers want two things: an easier way to fell zombies, and to look great doing it. Fortunately, the two recently announced pre-order DLC packs have you covered. The Survivor Pack, which includes an XP booster among other goodies, is available for everyone who pre-orders in supported regions. Deep Silver releases 10-minute walkthrough of Dead Island Riptide
If you have 10 minutes to spare, then Deep Silver might happen to have 10 minutes of Dead Island Riptide footage to show you. In preparation for the upcoming release of Dead Island’s successor, Deep Silver has released a lengthy video walkthrough from a pre-alpha build showcasing many of the new weapons, vehicles, and modes being introduced in Riptide.

Dead Island to expand story with Ryder White DLC
Dead Island will be receiving a new DLC pack next month, Ryder White. The expansion offers a single-player campaign that follows Dead Island’s protagonist, showing the events on the island from his point of view, as well as two blueprints and weapons.

Square Enix announces Comic-Con 2011 demos, panels, and more
Square Enix will be doing their part to get attendees gaming at this year’s Comic-Con. Alongside Final Fantasy XIII-2 at booth 3829 will be previews and playable demos of Deep Silver’s zombie survival-horror title Dead Island, Eidos-Montreal’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and Ankama’s Wakfu. In addition, there will also be one-hour panels for both Deus Ex and Dead Island as well as the debut of Dissidia and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Play Arts -Kai- figurines.
