BlizzCon 2013 set for November, tickets to go on sale April 24, 27
Blizzard’s two-day festival of all things Craft (and Diablo) is set to once again take over the Anaheim Convention Center this November. For those looking to attend, Blizzard has announced that tickets for BlizzCon will be sold in two batches, on April 24 at 7 p.m. and 27 at 10 a.m. (Pacific). There will also be a limited number of tickets to a dinner prior to the show in support of the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, which will go on sale May 1 at 7 p.m.

New screenshots released for Aliens: Colonial Marines
Sega has released two new screens from Gearbox Software’s upcoming xenomorph-tastic shooter Aliens: Colonial Marines. The latest shots are from New York Comic-Con 2012, but we’ve tossed in a few from this year’s PAX as well because two is never enough when we’re talking about Aliens.

QuakeCon 2012 – full panel schedule announced
Bethesda and id have announced the full panel schedule for QuakeCon 2012. In addition to a keynote address from John Carmack and hands-on demos of Dishonored and Doom 3: BFG, attendees can look forward to sitting in on a number of panels, with topics including what goes into designing long-lasting multiplayer and a history of famed developer Looking Glass.

John Carmack keynote address to kick off QuakeCon 2012
QuakeCon 2012, id and Bethesda’s upcoming celebration of all things fragging (and recently, role-playing), will begin with a keynote address from John Carmack. A handful of the planned panels were also announced, including The Game of Making Games and Designing Multiplayer Games That Last, with such panelists as Marty Stratton from id Software, Ted Price, President and CEO of Insomniac Games, as well as Chet Faliszek and Tom Leonard from Valve Software.

QuakeCon 2012 pre-registation starts today
QuakeCon 2012 attendees looking to pre-register will be able to log in tonight at 7:00 p.m. (CST). As always, QuakeCon is free, but for those who want some extras, there are a limited number of premium packages that offer additional items to take away from the event. Details can be found below, but they range between $30 to $50 and are limited, the lowest to 350 and highest to 1,500, with items ranging from a Dishonored tallboy T-shirt to “fast-pass” access to panels and other events.
