Street Fighter V to be playable at Six Flags throughout the country

Gamers itching to get their hands on Street Fighter V will be able to try their hand at the upcoming fighter early at Six Flags locations across the US. The first stop on the ‘Street Fighter V at Six Flags’ tour will be Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, CA, from July 2 to 7, with the second beginning shortly after, from July 4 to 7, in Arlington, TX. Attendees will also get a shot to win prizes in eight-person single-elimination tournaments that will be held on Saturday at Six Flags Magic Mountain and on Saturdays and Sundays at the other locations. The Devil May Cry series returns today with the release of Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition. The $24.99 download includes an updated version of the 2008 original with support for 1080p and 60fps, three new playable characters (Lady, Trish, and Vergil), two new modes (Legendary Dark Knight and Turbo), and new costumes. The original game has also been tweaked with “a rebalanced combat system that improves game tempo and gameplay balance.”

Street Fighter V adds Birdie and Cammy, PS4 beta to begin July 23

Capcom revealed two more additions to Street Fighter V’s roster: Birdie and Cammy. Cammy has been a staple of the series for several years now, but Birdie hasn’t been seen rushing around and headbutting since Street Fighter Alpha 3. The two join four previously announced fighters, Charlie Nash, Chun-Li, M. Bison, and Ryu. A new trailer and batch of screenshots were released showing the two in action. The beta was also dated, with PS4 pre-orders getting a chance to try the game online from July 23 to July 28.

Mega Man Legacy Collection to hit 3DS, PC, PS4, Xbox One this year

The blue bomber will be returning in a new six-title compilation this fall in Mega Man Legacy Collection. Scheduled to launch initially for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and later for 3DS, the set will include the first six Mega Man games, plus a Museum of concept and character art and a new Challenge Mode. The latter will consist of a set of increasingly difficult trials that utilize portions from all six games, such as going through an area from each game on a single life, which is said to provide a challenge for veterans and serve as a learning tool for new players. The mode will also upload replays of the best runs for everyone to check out. Digital Eclipse is handling the project.

Resident Evil 0 getting the HD treatment in early ’16 for console, PC

Capcom has announced their plans to follow the recent Resident Evil HD remake with a new HD remake, this time for Resident Evil 0. The prequel, previously only available for GameCube and Wii, is slated to launch in early 2016 for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. The game’s original director, Koji Oda, is back on board along with several of the developers from the original team. Oda and producer Tsukasa Takenaka released a video for the announcement, complete with a life-saving herb.

Ten Project X Zone 2 characters revealed, new screenshots up

Bandai Namco has release new screenshots from the upcoming tactical-RPG Project X Zone 2. The images reveal 10 of the characters to make up the latest cast, which will include many returning from the original as well as some new faces. Those featured are Ken and Ryu from Street Fighter, Maya Fey and Phoenix Wright from Ace Attorney, Gemini Sunrise and Sakura Shinguji from Sakura Wars, Axel Stone from Streets of Rage, Ciel Alencon and Nana Kazuki from God Eater 2, and Aty from Summon Night 3. Over a dozen shots in all have been posted, covering combat and dialog sequences.

Capcom has announced that Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition will be launching on Live, PSN, and Steam on June 23. Alongside the release date was news that everyone who pre-orders the download-only port will receive two bonus costumes, one for Lady and another for Trish. PS4 gamers are getting a third pre-order extra, a free custom theme. A new trailer featuring all five playable characters as well as a new batch of screenshots are viewable below.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate sells over a million in Western markets
