Developer- and Publisher-specific Articles: Capcom Arcade Cabinet
Capcom has released a new collection of every Arcade Cabinet title released to date, the Capcom Arcade Cabinet All in One Pack. The set runs $29.99/2000 MS Points and includes 17 games in total, the original 15 plus two bonus titles. The set represents the developer’s earlier years, with all of the titles dating between 1984-1987: Black Tiger, Avengers, 1943: The Battle of Midway, Ghosts n Goblins, Gun.Smoke, Section Z, Side Arms, Legendary Wings, Trojan, Commando, The Speed Rumbler, Exed Exes (Savage Bees), 1942, SonSon, Pirate Ship Higemaru, 1943 Kai, and Vulgus.
A new Game Pack has launched for Capcom Arcade Cabinet, Pack #5. Included in the set is the shooter 1942, action-puzzler Pirate Ship Higemaru, and action-platformer SonSon, all from 1984. As a bonus, if gamers have the previous four packs and purchase the fifth, they will receive 1943 Kai and Vulgus for free.
Capcom Arcade Cabinet’s second Gamepack is set to launch tomorrow for 360 and PS3. The 1986 Gamepack includes Legendary Wings, Side Arms, and Trojan for $9.99/800 MS Points. Also, for those wanting a title or two from the 1985 Gamepack, Ghosts ‘n Goblins, Gun.Smoke, and Section Z are all available individually on PSN for $3.99.
The first Game Pack has launched on PSN for Capcom Arcade Cabinet, and will be launching tomorrow on Live Arcade. The $4.99/400 MS Point set includes 1943: The Battle of Midway, Avengers, and Black Tiger. Black Tiger is also a free solo release because it includes the Capcom Arcade platform, which is used to access the other titles as well as those in future game packs. Platformer fans looking for more action after Black Tiger can check out the beat ‘em up Avengers, while shooter fans can take to the Pacific in 1943.
Capcom has released the full schedule for their upcoming download compilation, Capcom Arcade Cabinet. The set will be released in waves, dubbed Game Packs, over PSN and Live Arcade. The first set will feature a free release, Black Tiger, and Game Pack 1 (1943: The Battle of Midway, Avengers, Black Tiger) for $4.99/400 MS Points on February 19 on PSN and 20 on Live. There is even a two-game bonus pack for those who purchase all five for-pay sets. The entire schedule is available below, under a new batch of screenshots, and includes over 20 8-bit titles.
