Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare gets map pre-order bonus, new video up

Infinity Ward announced the return of Modern Warfare 2’s Terminal at their Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare panel at Comic-Con. The map has been reimagined with new environments, now consisting of a shuttle port on the Moon. Players who pre-order any version of the game will be able to download it as the Terminal Bonus Map. Additionally, a new gameplay video was also released from the single-player campaign.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered gameplay footage released

A new trailer has gone live for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. The video runs nearly eight minutes long and features footage from a playthrough of Crew Expendable. As a reminder, Modern Warfare Remastered will be available in the Legacy and Digital Deluxe editions of Infinite Warfare.

Details, teams revealed for Call of Duty World League Stage 2 Finals

Activision has released details about Call of Duty World League’s upcoming CWL Pro Division Stage 2 Finals. Scheduled to run from today until July 17 in Burbank, CA, teams from Australia/New Zealand, Europe, and North America are set to square off by region. Quarterfinals kick off the tournament, with Saturday hosting ANZ finals and semifinals and Sunday the top European and North American teams. The players are competing for a piece of the $3.5 million 2016 prize pool. Players can watch the event on the Call of Duty Twitch channel, MLG.tv, Call of Duty’s eSports section, and through the PS4 version of Black Ops III’s Live Event Viewer. Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Descent now available for PS4

Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Descent has gone live for PS4. A new batch of screenshots has also been released alongside the drop. Treyarch’s latest features four new multiplayer maps, including a remake of Black Ops II’s Raid, and the next entry in the Zombies’ Origins series, Gorod Krovi. Descent will be available for PC and Xbox One at a later date.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare story panel to be at Comic-Con 2016

Activision has sent word that they will be hosting a 60-minute panel for Infinity Ward’s Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare at Comic-Con. On July 21, attendees can check out exclusive story footage, and get some insight into how the developers are creating the campaign. Several team members will share making-of info, including narrative director Taylor Kurosaki, director of photography Jeff Negus, David Harewood (Supergirl, Blood Diamond), and Jamie Gray Hyder (True Blood, Graceland). The panel will start at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday in room 6BCF. Attendees will also receive a limited-edition lithograph poster from Mondo and artist Matt Taylor.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Descent detailed, hitting PS4 on July 12

Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s third downloadable pack, Descent, got its first trailer today. The add-on, debuting on PSN on July 12, features four multiplayer maps as well as the next installment in Zombies. The maps, detailed below, include Empire, a reimagined versions of Black Ops II’s Raid; Berserk, a Viking village; Rumble, set in an arena where giant robots battle; and Cryogen, a prison filled with cryogenic tubes. The new Zombies entry, Gorod Krovi, sees the Origins gang in an alternate USSR where the remains of Stalingrad are dominated by mechanized zombies.

New Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare trailer released for E3

Activision has released the gameplay footage from the PlayStation 4 version of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare that was debuted during Sony’s conference. In the video, protagonist Reyes and his squad break into and destroy an enemy SetDef destroyer. Setting out from the UNSA Retribution, team SCAR gets into a series of dogfights while piloting Jackals before closing in to breach the hull amidst small arms fire.

Call of Duty XP 2016 detailed, hands-on with Infinite Warfare, events

Activision is preparing to open ticket sales for Call of Duty XP 2016, “the biggest Call of Duty fan event in history.” Running from September 2-4 in Los Angeles, the Call of Duty World League will host the final teams for $2 million in prizes at the Call of Duty World League Championship. The event will also feature hands-on demos of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered multiplayer,and new downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops III. There will also be exhibits, developer panels, a surprise musical guest, paintball in a life-sized replica of Black Ops’ Nuketown map, Zombies laser tag, and the first Call of Duty VR experience that will include piloting a Jackal. Tickets will go on sale at noon (CST) on June 11 for $49, $129, and $199. Full details are below. Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Zombies map The Giant up for purchase

Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s Zombies map The Giant, a remake of Der Riese, is now available as a single-map purchase. The drop continues the Zombies storyline with returning characters Dempsey, Nikolai, Richtofen, and Takeo. The $5.99 download is up for current-gen consoles and PC, and was previously included as a bonus with the various premium editions (Juggernog, Hardened, and Digital Deluxe) and as part of the Season Pass. PS3 owners can also grab it for the same price as well, though Xbox 360 players will have to wait a bit longer.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Modern Warfare Remastered announced

Recently, hints and then videos began to appear indicating that a new Call of Duty announcement was imminent. Today, the curtain has been pulled back to reveal Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare—and Modern Warfare Remastered. Following the main line’s tendency to go futuristic, the new release will take the fight beyond Earth and into the solar system. The story follows Tier 1 Special Operations pilot Captain Reyes as he commands one of the planet’s last warships, the Retribution, against the fascist Settlement Defense Front. A barren and overpopulated Earth relies on resources supplied by its colonies, but the Front is trying to secure all off-world outposts. From the Retribution, players will also launch sorties in the Jackal jet fighter. Also, all Legacy and Digital Deluxe packages will come with a download for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, which will include the base game and 10 multiplayer maps.
