Call of Duty: Black Ops II – Uprising DLC pack now on Live for 360
Uprising is now available on Live Marketplace for Call of Duty: Black Ops II. The latest DLC pack, set to launch later for PC and PS3, includes four new multiplayer maps and the new star-studded Zombies mode Mob of the Dead. The maps—Encore, Magma, Studio, and Vertigo—are set in a live volcano in Japan, deserted London music festival, and futuristic skyscraper in India, while Studio is a remake of Black Ops’ Firing Range. Mob of the Dead features Ray Liotta as Billy Handsome, Chazz Palminteri as Salvatore “Sal” DeLuca, Joe Pantoliano as Al “The Weasel” Arlington, and Michael Madsen as Michael “Finn” O’Leary as inmates in Alcatraz Prison during an undead outbreak.

The Call of Duty Championship end nears, finals to stream on April 7
The Call of Duty Championship, presented by Xbox, kicks off today at the Hollywood Palladium Theater. The tournament, which runs through Sunday, features 32 of the top Black Ops II players in a series of head-on matches for $1 million in prizes. Shooter and eSport fans wanting to follow the action can watch a stream of the final matches at Xbox.com, the Live Dashboard, and Call of Duty’s Facebook page.

Treyarch is readying the release of Uprising, the second DLC pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Set to launch on Live Marketplace on April 16, and on PSN and Steam in the near future, Uprising will include four new multiplayer maps, set in Japan (Magma), London (Encore), India (Vertigo), and Hollywood (Studio, a remake of Firing Range), and a surreal Zombies addition titled Mob of the Dead.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II for 360, PS3 to support live streaming
Treyarch is embracing Call of Duty’s popularity on video-sharing sites with a new streaming feature in Black Ops II. Gamers will be able to live stream starting on launch day, November 13, on Youtube directly from the 360 and PS3. In addition to gameplay, players can simultaneously stream from their webcam and audio commentary. The Elite service will be used to supplement the feature by showing the player’s card to allow viewers quick access to such info as class loadouts, career stats, and recent match results.

DLC Season Pass, free Elite announced for Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Activision has announced that Call of Duty Elite, the premium service that launched alongside Modern Warfare 3, will be free for all players when Black Ops II launches on November 13. Instead of being an all-in-one platform for tracking stats and accessing downloadable content, the service will be split so that the stat and social-media features will be accessible at no additional cost while the DLC will be sold separately.
