Dissidia Final Fantasy NT coming to North America early ’18 for PS4

Square Enix is getting back into the brawler business with Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. The follow-up to 2011’s Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy is actually a reboot of the series, however, rather than of a direct continuation. The team-based fighter was co-developed by Koei Tecmo Games and Team Ninja, and is set to make its home debut early next year. The game will feature solo and online multiplayer, a roster of over 20 characters, and three-versus-three combat. Fans of the series can learn more by streaming a panel with producer Ichiro Hazama, director Takeo Kujiraoka, Justin Wong of Echo Fox, and K-Brad at the E3 Coliseum on Tuesday, June 13, at 3:15 p.m. (PST).

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven now on PSN for PS4

Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2’s latest JoJo adventure, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven, is now available for PS4. The digital-only release is a two-on-two brawler that features a new storyline, supervised by manga creator Hirohiko Araki, and a roster of over 50 characters drawn from each arc of the anime and manga series. The cast of eccentric fighters have a wide array of abilities, from being able to harness energy, summon a fighting spirit, and battle on horseback. Players will be able to take a team of two through a campaign or online in a four-player versus mode.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven demo on PSN for PS4

Players looking to experience the first chapter of JoJo’s latest arc can give it a go today with a new demo of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven. The trial includes a portion of Story Mode, which is inspired by the entire run of the series, and a sample of VS Mode. Combatants are able to go head to head as one of four characters: Jotaro Kujo, Noriaki Kakyoin, Josuke Higashikata, and Okuyasu Nijimura. Everyone who downloads and plays the demo will also receive 10,000 JoJo Points, an in-game currency that is used to buy costumes, player cards, and battle items.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven – Chapter 4 media released

A truckload of new screenshots and a new trailer has been released from the fourth chapter of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven, Diamond is Unbreakable Action. New JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven trailer, screenshots

Today’s been a trailer-heavy day, and Bandai Namco is adding one more with a new video for JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven. The latest footage from the upcoming CyberConnect2-developed fighter shines the spotlight on seven new playable characters. The brawlers are from the second chapter, Battle Tendency, of the manga: Joseph Joestar, Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli, Lisa Lisa, Rudol Von Stroheim, Kars, Esidisi, and Wammu. Six support characters join the cast of One Piece: Burning Blood

Six new characters were announced for One Piece: Burning Blood. On top of the roster reveal, several new screenshots and pieces of character art were released highlighting the additions. Fans of the series can look forward to calling on support from Bepo, Dadan, Karoo, Kureha, Laboon, and the Square Sisters. Players will be able to utilize their unique abilities by calling on them during combat.

Dragon Quest Heroes now available in stores, online for PS4

The Dragon Quest adventurers are hitting the battlefield today in Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below. A sharp departure for the series, Dragon Quest Heroes is an action RPG that lets players bash hordes of familiar enemies with heroes from throughout the series. Two new characters, Aurora and Luceus, join 13 characters from IV, V, and VIII to rid the land of a curse by hacking, slashing, leveling, and summoning friendly monsters.

Dragon Quest Heroes gets overview trailer, new screenshots

Square Enix has released a new trailer, along with a batch of screenshots, for their upcoming action role-playing title Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below. The latest video, King Doric’s Royal Overview Trailer, features the king detailing various aspects of the game, including the heroes, party creation, monster metals, alchemy, and shopping, to prepare the player for their upcoming battle against the land’s crazed monsters. Stateside players will have even more to handle, as the North American version will include all of the downloadable content released in Japan.

Zombie Vikings to get physical version, Ragnarök Editiön, for PS4

Zoink Games’ comedic hack-and-slash adventure title Zombie Vikings: Ragnarök Editiön will be hitting store shelves this fall for PS4. Rising Star Games has signed on to release a physical version for North America. The brawler, written by Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal’s Zach Weinersmith, will be playable solo or co-op with up to four players, with players leading a band of zombie Vikings in a quest to retrieve Odin’s magic eye from Loki. The boxed version will come with several bonuses, including five extra bonus Verses Arenas, two extra playable characters, and an unlockable making-of video.
