E3 2013: New screens released from 360, PS3 versions of Diablo III

Diablo III announced for 360, console versions to launch September
Console gamers looking to give Diablo III a go will get their chance later this summer as Blizzard has revealed September 3 as the final release date. It was also announced that the PS3 version will launch alongside an Xbox 360 version. Both releases will include all of the updates and tweaks made to the PC version since launch, as well as redesigned control schemes that include a dynamic camera and a new interface for easier gamepad play. Up to four players will be able to group up locally or online, which includes the ability to have mixed parties of both local and online players.

Pre-order Diablo III for PS3, receive XP boost with the Infernal Helm
Console owners are getting ever closer to trying Diablo III for themselves, and to help entice the curious, Blizzard has announced a new pre-order bonus. Select retailers are offering an exclusive in-game item for those who order Diablo III before its release later this year, the Infernal Helm. The enhanced helm will grant an experience boost to the wearer, helping them to topple the demonic hordes even faster.

BlizzCon 2013 set for November, tickets to go on sale April 24, 27
Blizzard’s two-day festival of all things Craft (and Diablo) is set to once again take over the Anaheim Convention Center this November. For those looking to attend, Blizzard has announced that tickets for BlizzCon will be sold in two batches, on April 24 at 7 p.m. and 27 at 10 a.m. (Pacific). There will also be a limited number of tickets to a dinner prior to the show in support of the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, which will go on sale May 1 at 7 p.m.

WoW: Mists of Pandaria – The Thunder King trailer released
Blizzard has released a new trailer for the upcoming 5.2 content update for Mists of Pandaria, The Thunder King. Emperor Lei Shen, the titular Thunder King, has returned to Pandaria with some Zandalari allies and is out for revenge. Players will be able to stop him once and for all in the new Throne of Thunder raid, which is just one of the many new additions being added with the 5.2 update.

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty – Patch 2.0.4 now online
Blizzard is gearing up for the impending release of Heart of the Swarm, the first expansion for StarCraft II, with a new update for Wings of Liberty. The studio has released three videos detailing what’s been changed and added, as well as summaries, included below. Some highlights include new streamlined menu screens, increased privacy options to hide build order and match history, an increase in player party size to 16, and Unranked Play for matchmaking.

Blizzard reveals World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria intro cinema
Blizzard has revealed the opening cinema to the upcoming latest World of Warcraft expansion, Mists of Pandaria, at Gamescom 2012. A slew of new screenshots were also released, showing some of the new locales, items, and actions that are in store.

Diablo III Starter Edition now available on Battle.net
Blizzard has launched a Starter Edition for Diablo III. Gamers with a Battle.net account can now download the trial, which will allow them to fight up to Act I’s Skeleton King Boss and level up to 13. Battle.net users can either sign up to download a copy within the Your Game Accounts section, or they can install the game off of a disc and have the Starter Edition automatically added to their account.

World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria to launch in September
Blizzard’s fourth expansion for their long-running MMORPG, World of Warcraft, will hit store shelves and launch online on September 25. Mists of Pandaria will include an entirely new continent, Pandaria, as well as its inhabitants as a new playable race, the Pandaren. Other additions include the Monk class, an increased level cap (90), challenge modes for the expansion’s five-player dungeons, a new type of co-op PvE trials called scenarios, and a new pet battle system.

Blizzard announces GamesCom 2012 playables, debuts, and events
Attendees of this year’s GamesCom in Cologne, Germany will be able to get a peek at several upcoming Blizzard releases. The House of –Craft has announced that they will be showcasing Mists of Pandaria, the fourth expansion for World of Warcraft, the upcoming StarCraft II add-on Heart of the Swarm, and the recently released Diablo III. Other slated events include pro gamers duking it out and signing sessions with employees.
