Developer- and Publisher-specific Articles: BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Limited Edition
The BlazBlue brawlers return to the ring today with the release of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantsma. As Ragna the Bloodedge hunts down Yuuki Terumi, players will be able to battle using the new Overdrive mechanic, which charges characters the more health they lose, and seven new characters. The new roster additions are available on-disc and online, with four available from the outset, another unlockable, and the remaining two added via DLC (Kokonoe is up today and Yuuki Terumi on May 27). Network play is also said to be improved and enhanced with new mode upgrades.
BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma will be making the transition from PS3 to PS Vita this summer. The handheld version will follow its console counterpart, which is set to be released on March 25, and include all of the characters from the original release as well as five new characters, two DLC characters, a summary of events from Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift, a new beach-themed storyline, and a revamped Story Mode.
BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma will be hitting store shelves on March 25, according to Aksys Games. The PS3 fighter will also come with a launch-copy extra, a voucher with a DLC code for an additional character, Yuki Terumi. The voucher will be included in both the standard release and the Limited Edition.
BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma will be released in a standard version as well as a premium edition, according to publisher Aksys Games. The PS3-exclusive fighter will introduce five new characters to the series as well as downloadable costumes, redesigned characters, new moves, an estimated 30-hour story mode, a revamped networking mode, and new ranking system. The limited edition will include a 40-page art book, a soundtrack, a figurine of Rachel Alucard, and an unrevealed fourth item (ooohhh – a mystery!).
