Konami has gone for a double whammy to entice gamers into grabbing Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Not only have they lowered the price to $29.99, but they have also tossed in the Jetstream and Blade Wolf character download packs. The Jetstream DLC features Samuel Rodriguez, Raiden’s dashing sword-wielding rival, in his own side story that details his origins. The Blade Wolf DLC is a similar origin-themed release that reveals the backstory of Blade Wolf, previously known as LQ-84i. In addition to seeing how he came to serve under Desperado Enforcement’s Sundowner, players will also get to experience a new boss battle.

Metal Gear Rising’s second character DLC pack, Blade Wolf, is now available for 360 and PS3. As with the Jetstream release, the download includes a new side story that reveals the character’s origins, from when the chatty AI was known as LQ-84i, and used as a weapon by Desperado Enforcement’s Mistral, to Blade Wolf, Raiden’s robot cat-in-arms. Players have access to new weapons and abilities, as well as a new boss battle.

Konami has announced that Blade Wolf, the second character DLC drop for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, will launch on May 14 for 360 and PS3. The pack features LQ-84i in its own adventure, following the unit after its activation by Desperado Enforcement’s leader Sundowner and service under Mistral in the events prior to its time as Blade Wolf alongside Raiden. In addition to exploring the character’s origins, players will get to try new abilities as well as fight in a new boss battle.

The VR Mission DLC pack for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance is now available for PS3. The 30-challenge drop is a nod to Metal Gear Solid’s VR Missions, which feature a variety of difficult scenarios for Raiden to complete as quickly (and painlessly) as possible, and is free until April 13.
