Mass Effect 3: Citdal DLC now available for 360, PC, and PS3
Commander Shepard and crew set out on their final journey today with the launch of the last single-player DLC pack for Mass Effect 3, Citadel. The last hurrah features characters from throughout the trilogy who arrive to help eliminate an emerging threat. The characters are also playable in the new Armax Combat Arena, a 10-scenario training program that pits the crew against waves of enemies. Lastly, a new casino has been added, the Citadel’s Silver Coast Casino, as well as a new, customizable station-based living quarter.

Mass Effect 3 to get new multiplayer, final single-player DLC packs
Just when you thought Commander Shepard had retired, BioWare has called him—or her—back into action. EA has announced that two new DLC packs are being primed for release, the free multiplayer pack Reckoning and the for-pay single-player pack Citadel. Reckoning will launch on February 26 and include new characters, upgrades, and weapons, and will be previewed on BioWare Edmonton’s twitch.tv channel on February 25 at 9:30 a.m. (PST). Citadel, the last single-player pack, will launch on March 5 and feature characters from all three titles on a mission set inside the sprawling space station.

Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition to launch for OS X this week
Beamdog and Overhaul Games’ updated and beefed-up Baldur’s Gate re-release, Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition, will be available for OS X on February 22. This initial release date is only for Beamdog.com, with the Mac App Store launch slated for a later, unspecified date. The Enhanced Edition adds the Black Pits, an arena challenge, new party members, new dialog, and various tweaks.

Rise of the Hutt Cartel announced for Star Wars: The Old Republic
BioWare has announced that the first downloadable expansion for Star Wars: The Old Republic, Rise of the Hutt Cartel, is available for pre-order. The add-on will feature a new fully voiced storyline that will see players venturing to the dual-faction planet of Makeb and battling against the Hutt Cartel. The expansion will also add new allies, enemies, and technologies, as well as five new levels of missions and an increased level cap of 55.

Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition begins pre-loading, trailer released
Overhaul Games has announced that pre-loading is officially a go for their updated version of Baldur’s Gate, Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition. The Beamdog exclusive will launch on November 28 for $19.99, offering players a chance to experience BioWare’s 1998 role-playing classic in a whole new light with updated graphics and menus, as well as new allies, new quests, new Black Pits arena challenges, and the ability to co-op multiplay across all supported platforms—Android, iPad, Mac, and PC.

Mass Effect 3 Special Edition now available for Wii U
Wii U owners looking for an intergalactic adventure will be able to ship out today with Mass Effect 3 Special Edition. The new version includes five single- and multiplayer DLC packs (Earth, Extended Cut, From Ashes, Rebellion, and Resurgence), as well as Genesis II, an interactive comic from Dark Horse that covers the events of the first two games. GamePad support has also been added, allowing for direct play on the controller and use of the touchscreen to control team abilities and movements as well as to view enemies on a tactical mini map.

Star Wars: The Old Republic gets Update 1.5, free-to-play option
BioWare has released a new update for Star Wars: The Old Republic, Game Update 1.5: HK-51 Activated, coinciding with the launch of the game’s new free-to-play option. Newcomers can now play the game for free up to level 50, as well as complete the storylines of all eight classes. All players are able to access the new content introduced in Game Update 1.5: HK-51 Activated, which includes a new mode, new areas, and a new Companion character.

Mass Effect Trilogy out for 360 and PC, Loyalty Pack dropping 11/7
BioWare has kicked off N7 Day with the release of Mass Effect Trilogy for 360 and PC. The $59.99 collection will be available for the PS3 on December 4, and will mark the first time PS3 gamers get a chance to experience the original in full as either part of the set or as a standalone download from PSN for $14.99. Current players will be able to get into the festivities tomorrow with the N7 Day Loyalty Pack, a one-day-only free DLC drop. The 360, PC, and PS3 download will include rare weapons and six consumables.
