Dishonored goes for the jugular in new Creative Kills trailer
Bethesda has released another video for Arkane Studios’ upcoming first-person action title Dishonored. This trailer, titled Creative Kills, focuses on the intertwining of the supernatural and technological as the assassin takes out his enemies using otherworldly powers and good old-fashioned guns and gadgets.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Dawnguard now available for PC
Another announcement out of QuakeCon 2012 today: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s first expansion, Dawnguard, is now available for PC. The $19.99 adventure, now on Steam, features new quests, enemies, characters, locations, and weapons. Players also face the ultimate choice of whether to hunt the vampire lord Harkon as a member of the Dawnguard or to join him as an immortal blood-sucker.

Doom 3 BFG Edition trailer emerges from QuakeCon 2012
With QuakeCon 2012 in full swing, id and Bethesda have released new footage from the upcoming Doom 3 re-release, Doom 3 BFG Edition. The trailer, The Lost Mission, shows off some of the new seven-level chapter of the same name. It,Doom 3, and the Resurrection of Evil expansion will all support 5.1 surround sound and 3D. The set will also include Doom and Doom II.

New trailer shows off some of Dishonored’s daring escapes
Bethesda has released some new footage from Arkane Studios’ upcoming first-person shooter, Dishonored. Titled ‘Daring Escapes,’ the clip covers three of the more supernatural methods that players have to escape pursuing enemies: Blink, Bend Time, and Possession.

QuakeCon 2012 – full panel schedule announced
Bethesda and id have announced the full panel schedule for QuakeCon 2012. In addition to a keynote address from John Carmack and hands-on demos of Dishonored and Doom 3: BFG, attendees can look forward to sitting in on a number of panels, with topics including what goes into designing long-lasting multiplayer and a history of famed developer Looking Glass.

John Carmack keynote address to kick off QuakeCon 2012
QuakeCon 2012, id and Bethesda’s upcoming celebration of all things fragging (and recently, role-playing), will begin with a keynote address from John Carmack. A handful of the planned panels were also announced, including The Game of Making Games and Designing Multiplayer Games That Last, with such panelists as Marty Stratton from id Software, Ted Price, President and CEO of Insomniac Games, as well as Chet Faliszek and Tom Leonard from Valve Software.

QuakeCon 2012 – Quake Live tournaments detailed
id and Bethesda have released the tournament schedule for this year’s QuakeCon. Scheduled to run August 2-5 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas, the free convention will include a variety of Quake Live events, with competitors going at it in four different tournaments, detailed below, to try to get their hands on some of the $30,000 in prize money up for grabs.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Dawnguard DLC launches for 360
Virtual adventurers have a new reason to return to the dangerous lands of Skyrim today with the launch of TES V: Skyrim’s first expansion, Dawnguard. Available on Live Marketplace for 1600 MS Points, Dawnguard centers around the hunt for the vampire lord, Harkon. Players must decide whether they want to join the Dawnguard and drive a stake through his heart, or become a vampire lord themselves.

Doom 3 BFG Edition release date, price announced
The upcoming re-release of id Software’s 2004 first-person shooter Doom 3, the BFG Edition, will be hitting store shelves on October 16. The set will include updated versions of the original game and its Resurrection of Evil expansion, plus a new seven-level chapter called The Lost Missions. All Doom 3-related content will support trophies/achievements, 3D, and 5.1 surround sound. And as an added bonus, id is also tossing in both Doom and Doom II.

E3 2012 – Bethesda: Dawnguard, TES Online, Dishonored, and more
Bethesda made their major announcements prior to E3, but that doesn’t mean that they didn’t have plenty to show. The studio released several new screenshots from their upcoming lineup, including The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – Dawnguard expansion (360, PC, and PS3), The Elder Scrolls Online (Mac, PC), Doom 3 BFG Edition (360, PC, PS3), and Dishonored (360, PC, PS3).
