Switch version of Namco Museum to get Pac-Man Vs.

The upcoming Switch compilation Namco Museum is getting a +1 with the addition of some extra Pac-Man action. Bandai Namco has announced that they will be tossing in the four-player competitive release Pac-Man Vs. In the game, three players take on the role of the ghosts as they work together to hunt down the fourth player, who gets to control Pac-Man. Two Switch units will be needed to play with all four players, though, as the ghosts and Pac-Man each require their own system. Some of the other games in the set include Dig Dug, Galaga, Rolling Thunder, Sky Kid, and Splatterhouse.

Psychological thriller Get Even out now for console, PC

Bandai Namco has released The Farm 51’s psychological thriller Get Even. The first-person shooter finds players waking up in an abandoned asylum as prisoner and mercenary Cole Black. As he struggles to remember his past, a mysterious figure known as Red forces him to relive his memories through the Pandora headset while sending him out to explore the facility.

.hack//G.U. trilogy getting HD treatment with Last Recode for PC, PS4

Role-playing fans received some good news today with word that Bandai Namco will be releasing .hack//G.U. Last Recode for PC and PS4. Last Recode bundles together updated versions of three titles: Rebirth, Reminisce, and Redemption. In addition to updated graphics, with support for 1080p, 60 fps, and 16:9 widescreen, the games will sport balance tweaks and extra features. The CyberConnect2-created franchise follows players as they work their way through an in-game MMORPG called The World. G.U. picks up where the first .hack series left off, with players tracking down a Player Killer named Tri-Edge.

E3 2017: Bandai Namco – Dragon Ball, Ni no Kuni, Ace Combat

This year’s E3 saw Bandai Namco bring along some of their biggest upcoming releases as well as a surprise from Arc System Works. Pillar franchise Ace Combat got a new trailer and screenshots for its seventh entry, while recent hit Ni no Kuni’s upcoming sequel, Revenant Kingdom, was officially dated for November 10. The studio also revealed a recent project with Arc System Works that sees them entering the brawler market, Dragon Ball FighterZ. The Marvel vs. Capcom-style fighter is set to launch early next year and looks to be shaping up nicely. Recent reveal Code Vein was also own shown, also receiving a new trailer for the show.

Tekken 7 now available in stores, online for console and PC

The struggle for power over the Mishima clan comes to a head today with the release of Tekken 7. The latest entry features a new storyline that introduces several characters, including karate expert Kazumi Mishima and acrobat Lucky Chloe, along with Street Fighter’s Akuma. Combatants also have access to several new and tweaked abilities, such as Power Crushes, Rage Arts, and Rage Drives. The PS4 version adds a jukebox mode with tunes from throughout the series. For aspiring pros, an accompanied tournament will run throughout the remainder of the year and culminate in the World Finals this November, set to take place in North America.

Fists (and feet) fly in Tekken 7 opening cinematic

Bandai Namco has released a little eye candy for Tekken fans with the opening cinematic from Tekken 7. The video begins with an investigation into the feud between Heihachi and Kazuya, then slowly expands to reveal new characters, including Akuma, and their place in the ongoing battle between the two. Relive Tekken 1-3 with the 8-bit debut of video series Retro Recap

Namco is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Tekken franchise with a new history-of video series. This latest series is to get everyone up to speed for Tekken 7, given the numerous plot twists, but to keep things manageable, the videos are covering a few entries at a time. The debut covers Tekken 1-3. Given those are a bit older now, it’s done in a gussied-up 8-bit style.

Bandai Namco debuts action-RPG Code Vein with screenshots, trailer

An announcement trailer and batch of screenshots have gone live for Code Vein. The action role-playing game is set in a near future that has been devastated by a disease that has caused the collapse of mankind. A remaining group of Revenants known as Vein continue to fight, but their powers come at the expensive of their memories and a desire for blood. Players who succumb to their bloodlust will forsake what’s left of their humanity to become one of the Lost. The trailer features some of the weapon-based combat as well as a look at the companion system, which will allow players to team up with an AI partner.

Horror-themed puzzle-platformer Little Nightmares out for console, PC

Tarsier Studios’ latest horror-themed adventure, Little Nightmares, has been released in stores and online for console and PC. Published by Bandai Namco, Little Nightmares puts players in the shoes of Six, a heroine who must journey through the Maw, a strange vessel set within a “grim and shadowy universe” filled with strange and dangerous creatures. Six has only her raincoat and a lighter to aid her escape, as players “experience a bleak and oversized world that blurs the lines between dreams and nightmares.”
