Persona 5 voice cast, protagonist trailer and VO Q&A video posted

Atlus has revealed the English voice cast for Persona 5. In the process, the studio also detailed the in-game cast. Players will take on the role of Shujin Academy’s latest transfer student, “Joker,” who doubles as the leader of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts when he’s not attending class, going out with friends, or practicing at the batting cage. His mission is to steal the hearts of corrupt adults. Along with the case list, two new videos can also be found below, one centered on the protagonist and another that features a Q&A session with the protagonist’s voice actor, Xander Mobus.

Antonov hosts The King of Fighters XIV World Championship trailer

The King of Fighters XIV World Championship got a new trailer today. The video gets meta, taking an in-game approach with Antonov and his director Yakov discussing the particulars of the event. The tournament will take place in early 2017 with 16 of the best players from around the world. North American qualifiers will be held from October 14-16 at SoCal Regionals and from October 28-30 at Canada Cup.

PC version of The Deadly Tower of Monsters gets Survival Mode

Ace Team has updated the PC version of their quirky action title The Deadly Tower of Monsters. The latest patch adds Survival Mode, which will have players alternating between staging and combat platforms. The former allows them to pick and outfit one of the three playable characters before they proceed to the latter, which hosts progressively tougher waves of enemies. Defeated enemies drop coins that can be used to purchase abilities, health, and weapons. The game is also a part of Steam’s Midweek Madness promo, and can be purchased for 66% off until October 7.

Persona 5 to release with SteelBook Launch Edition

Persona 5 is less than half a year away, and Atlus is already getting primed for its North American release. Today the studio revealed the SteelBook Launch Edition. The themed pack will feature a portrait of the cast on the outside, and a second design featuring the Phantom Thieves on the inside. Prepare your shelves accordingly.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse in stores, on eShop for 3DS

Shin Megami returns today with a skewed take on the endgame of Shin Megami Tensei IV. Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse shifts things a bit, with the player going through the same world but as a new protagonist, Nanashi. The recently deceased, now-resurrected Hunter is the servant of the god Dagda, who plans to take advantage of the ongoing war between man, angel, and demon. Players must decide whether to do his bidding or cut their own path, choosing anarchy or peace, as they undertake quests, explore, and battle (as well as fuse) over 450 demon types.

Atlus has released the launch trailer for Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse. The video introduces players to Nanashi, the new, recently resurrected protagonist. Now beholden to the god Dagda, the player must choose whether to do his bidding or attempt to make their own way. Atlus has pulled the curtain back on one of gaming’s greatest mysteries: why they changed Shin Megami Tensei IV: Final’s name. The hard-hitting video goes behind the scenes to show the process of how and why the studio decided to call the new entry Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse. Brace yourselves for some revelations. They didn’t stop there, though, as they also revealed that a new free 3DS theme will be released on September 15.
