Altus to localize, publish Imageepoch’s new 3DS RPG Stella Glow

Altus has announced that they will be localizing Imageepoch’s upcoming 3DS role-playing game Stella Glow. The new IP will see the two studios teaming up again, after having worked with one another on the DS RPG series Luminous Arc. Atlus currently plans on releasing Stella Glow later this year. As the young knight Alto, players must convince the witches within the Kingdom of Regnant to use their powerful songs to help him stop the Witch of Destruction, Hilda, and her army of Harbingers.

Atlus releases final, full trailer for Etrian Mystery Dungeon

A week out from release and Atlus has released the final trailer for Etrian Mystery Dungeon. It’s a quick video that gives a brief overview of the town and dungeons. But for those wanting to see more, or to catch up on recent announcements, check out the trailer and screenshot combos for the various classes: Dancer, Gunner, Hexer, Landsknecht, Medic, Ninja, Protector, Runemaster, Sovereign, and Wanderer. A premium 3DS theme was also released on eShop today for $0.99, and can be seen in action here.

Atlus has detailed the extras they’ll be including with the first-run copies of Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight. As with their previous titles, pre-order-ers and early buyers will receive a few bonuses with the early copies, and while the items follow a familiar trend, there are a few tweaks. The set will include a 22-page art book, with concept art, character bios, and QR codes for Grimoire Stones aimed at beginners; a Rough Sketch soundtrack, which will feature early versions of the game’s music, instead of a few cuts from the final soundtrack, along with a forward by series composer Yuzo Koshiro and the game’s director Shigeo Komori; a mini-comic; and a slip-cover outer box.

Etrian Mystery Dungeon free and for-pay DLC detailed, media released

Atlus has more in store for Etrian Mystery Dungeon than another character reveal with news about upcoming free and for-pay DLC. From release date until May 5, buyers will be able to download five new quests for free, with each requiring that players track down missing adventurers. After May 5, the quests will cost either $1.49 or $1.99. Details for each are available below. A paid theme will also be available on March 31; the $0.99 download, demonstrated here, will feature scrolling 3D and hand-drawn character art, custom folders, and the theme song. And of course, a new trailer was released along with new screenshots for the latest class reveal, the Wanderer. These sword-wielders are experts at attacking animals, clearing paths, and escaping dungeons, capable of getting the party to safety without sacrificing their items.

Etrian Mystery Dungeon gets fancy with the highfalutin Sovereign

Etrian Mystery Dungeon’s Sovereign class makes its debut today. Following the Ninja with a new batch of screenshots and a new trailer, the Sovereign wears heavy armor, allowing for them to take large amounts of damage, and bestows buffs on their fellow party members. Sounds like a Bard-style tank—a winning combination.

SMT: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker’s SpotPass, StreetPass detailed

Atlus has revealed details about SMT: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker’s SpotPass and StreetPass functionality. The company plans on releasing SpotPass content in waves, with the first set to release after the game is available, consisting of new demons and skill add-ons. The feature will also allow players to get a magic skill, normal skill, and a recommended physical skill for their skill pool to assign to their characters. StreetPass will assign random stat and skill bonuses to the player’s demons. And to show a bit more of what’s in store, new screenshots have been released, and a new Twitch stream is planned to go live today at 4:30 p.m. (CST). Note that the stream will contain spoilers for those who haven’t played the original version.

Atlus bringing PS3, PS Vita tactical-RPG Lost Dimension stateside

Atlus has announced a second new title this week, a new tactical role-playing game from Lancarse, Lost Dimension. The sci-fi-tinged mystery pits players and their 11-character party, the Special Forces outfit Sealed, against an alien known as The End. Throughout the game, players must form relationships and psychic links with their squadmates in order to enter their minds to find out if they’re a traitor. Those that seem guilty will be put on trial at the end of the link, but players won’t know if they ferreted out the guilty parties until the last battle, at which point they will turn and join The End for the final battle. Traitors are randomly determined at the beginning of each new game, ensuring that no two games are alike.

Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight coming this summer

Atlus has announced the release date of the North American version of Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight. The follow-up to last year’s Millennium Girl follows in its predecessor’s footsteps as a reimagined version of one of the earlier titles, Etrian Odyssey 2. As before, the game will feature a classic mode and a story mode. Classic mode will have greater party customization and little plot, but it will also include interface improvements, new dungeon designs, and an improve Grimoire system. Story mode will follow a group of pre-made characters in an adventure surrounding Princess Arianna of Caledonia and her protector, the Fafnir Knight, which features animated cutscenes and voiced dialog. Story mode does have one exclusive, and it’s the new Fafnir class, which allows the character to transform into a demonic form.

Atlus adds decals to SMT: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker LE

Not content with a soundtrack and slip cover, Atlus has decided that the launch edition of Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker needed just one more extra to be complete: decals. Now, gamers who pre-order or pick up a launch copy will also receive sheets of decals featuring the main characters, including the protagonist, Daichi, Io, and others, plus a few logos of JP’s and Nicaea.

Huh?Ah!! Ninjas! in new Etrian Mystery Dungeon screens, trailer

After spending an appropriate amount of time lurking in the shadows, the Ninja is ready to make its Etrian Mystery Dungeon debut. Ninja focus on weakening and confusing enemies with the ability to create a copy of themselves as well as bind and trick their foes. Their increased agility allows them to take advantage of an encumbered enemy and deliver heavy damage. Plus they are awesome. Fact. Well, in general, hopefully in the game, too.
