Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology releasing Feb. 13, new trailer up

Radiant Historia’s upcoming re-release, Perfect Chronology, has been officially dated for February 13. The expanded port will add new gameplay and story content, along with updated visuals, NewGame+ mode, an extra character, and more. An optional third storyline is also being introduced with what-if scenarios, but the overarching story is itself malleable due to the ability to travel through time. The Alliance Alive Launch Edition revealed, trailer released

FuRyu’s The Alliance Alive will be released as a Launch Edition. Publisher Atlus is continuing their trend of bundling bonuses with first-run copies, and the upcoming role-playing game is set to include a 20-track soundtrack CD, a 30-page art book, and a Robbins penguin keychain. A new trailer has also gone live, highlighting the war that humanity is set to wage against their oppressive Daemon overlords.

Atlus begins annual Halloween cosplay contest

Atlus has kicked off their annual Halloween-themed event, Atlus-O-Weenie. Aspiring and veteran cosplayers can submit their costume for a chance to win one of several prizes, including gifts cards from Amazon and goodies from Great Eastern. Entrants will have their outfit judged across several categories: Best Overall, Best Persona, Best Atlus USA, Fan’s Choice, and Random Winners. Persona 5 gets Ultimate Edition, two DLC bundles for PS3, PS4

Atlus is looking to make it easier for Persona 5 newcomers and veterans to get a handle on the game’s extensive catalog of downloadable content. New players can grab the game and all downloadable packs at once with the Ultimate Edition all-in-one bundle. Current owners can download multiple pieces at a time as part of two bundles. Ultimate Edition clocks in at $124.99 for PS4 and $114.99 for PS3, and comes with the game plus all Personas, all costumes, all BGMs, a new difficulty level, a healing item set, the Japanese audio track, and a skill card set. The Costume Bundle, which includes pieces from Catherine and Devil Summoner, among other Atlus properties, runs $59.99. Yggdrasil calls! Etrian Odyssey V released for 3DS

It’s time to get crawling through a new set of dungeons with the launch of Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth. In the latest entry, players lead an aspiring group of adventurers who are seeking to have their wishes granted by scaling the massive Yggdrasil tree. Additions include an expansion of the party-based mechanics with racial attribute perks, Union Attacks, and two specialization upgrade paths for each of the 10 classes. The dungeons have also been supplemented with scenarios that offer additional chances for experience and world-building.

Etrian Odyssey V gets free 3DS theme, Launch Edition unboxing video

Atlus is known to include several extras in pre-order and first-run copies, so we can’t blame them when they want to show the goods. The PR crew offer a look at all the bonuses that come with the Launch Edition in a new video, including a 24-page art book, a six-track music CD, and a themed outer box that houses everything. But they weren’t done, and the studio also revealed that a free 3DS theme has gone live. To cap off the announcement, a full schedule was released for all associated downloadable content.

Harbingers to the front! New Etrian Odyssey V class trailer up

Frontline fighters come in all types in the Etrian Odyssey series. In Beyond the Myth, the Harbinger joins the ranks as a fighter with a unique power. This strange hybrid class wields giant scythes for closing in on enemies while also harnessing miasma to summon armor for support or to cause an ailment. That protection comes at a cost, though, as wearing it will drain their health points.

Etrian Odyssey V art book preview, character trailers released

Atlus is doubling down on their Etrian Odyssey V trailer releases this week, after opting to instead launch a fantastic demo last week. First up is the Rover, a long-range backline fighter in tune with nature, and they are also said to be experts at exploration. The other is a slightly more menacing class that summons wraiths to command or sacrifice, the Necromancer.
