Worlds collide today as Ghost Recon Online gets a touch of Assassin’s Creed in honor of the latter’s upcoming three-part downloadable campaign, The Tyranny of King Washington. The first part, The Infamy, is set to launch on February 19 for 360, PC, and PS3, and to kick things off, Ghost Recon Online players can equip their character with new Assassin’s Creed-themed gear. The set includes five apparel items—a Hood and four armor variants—and six new weapons inspired by Abstergo Industries’ security forces: F2000 SP AC, Fiveseven AC, MG36 KV AC, P90 C AC, Sentinel SR-1 AC, and Pentagun SP AC.

Gamers who’ve recently seen Ratonhnhaké:ton safely through the Revolutionary War will be able to continue improving their tumbling and gutting skills with three new multiplayer characters (Governor, Highlander, and Coyote Man) across three new multiplayer maps (Charlestown, Fort St-Mathieu, and Saint Pierre).

Assassin’s Creed III now available for PC online, in stores

Assassin’s Creed III has launched for PC on Uplay and Steam, and should be on store shelves shortly. The post-Ezio entry is available as a standard edition for $49.99 and as a Deluxe Edition for $79.99, which adds four single-player missions, the DLC Season Pass, the official soundtrack, and a digital version of George Washington’s notebook. This version has been optimized to support DirectX 11 and multiple control options, and it also includes high-resolution textures (or would that be higher-resolution textures?).
