Bethesda has announced pre-registration details for this year’s QuakeCon. QuakeCon 2016 will once again take place in Dallas, TX, with the event running from Thursday, August 4 to Sunday, August 7. As before, a number of BYOC packages will be purchasable through registration.quakecon.org. The packages will be opened in three stages this year, with the final being pre-registration for general attendees. Note that general attendance will once again be free. Swag packages, previously put together beforehand, will also be customized by attendees. This year’s official shirt design will also be up for vote at quakecon.org. QuakeCon will be returning to the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas, Texas. Bethesda has announced that the four-day event will take place Thursday, August 4 through Sunday, August 7, 2016. General attendance will once again be free, but as in years past, special for-pay packages will be offered for reserved seating at events, shorter waits, and bags of items.
New console owners are getting their chance to explore the plagued-filled streets of Dunwall today with the release of Dishonored Definitive Edition for PS4 and Xbox One. The latest outing includes graphically enhanced versions of the original game along with all downloadable content: Dunwall City Trials, The Knife of Dunwall, The Brigmore Witches, and Void Walker’s Arsenal. The packs add a two-part side story starring the assassin Daud, whom you will get to know in the original story, a 10-map challenge, and all four downloads that were previously pre-order bonuses.
The third round of registration for QuakeCon 2015 is now open at registration.quakecon.org. The BYOC Select-a-Seat + Swag Pack is limited to 500 and will set you back $170. In addition to a guaranteed reserved seat in the Bring Your Own Computer area, the pack also includes four t-shirts, a lanyard, a hoodie, and a branded 4400 mAh power bank. Online pre-registration for QuakeCon 2015’s ‘BYOC Select-a-Seat with UAC Command Center Seating’ package is opening today at 7 p.m. (CST) at registration.quakecon.org. The package runs $500 and is limited to 32 slots but includes VIP seating, express lane fast-pass registration, reserve sealing for all panels and events, and more. Bethesda has announced an ongoing sale as part of the QuakeCon 2014 celebrations. Discounts are available on games, gear, and art across Bethesda’s own online store as well as Amazon, Steam, Xbox Live, and other outlets. Gamers can now get the complete Dishonored collection for $39.99 with Dishonored: Game of the Year Edition. Available for 360, PC, and PS3, the set includes the original game as well as all four DLC add-ons: Dunwall City Trials, The Brigmore Witches, The Knife of Dunwall, and Void Walker’s Arsenal. The Knife of Dunwall and The Brigmore Witches make up a two-party side story featuring the empress’ assassin (and the cause of so many of protagonist Corvo’s troubles), Daud.
The final act in the Daud saga, and the final add-on for Dishonored, is available today with the release of The Brigmore Witches. The pack, now on Live Marketplace and Steam, and later today on PSN, sees Daud on the hunt for the leader of the Brigmore Witch coven, Delilah. He must work with feuding gangs the Dead Eels and the Hatters in order to get closer to the coven before eventually facing off against Dishonored’s protagonist, Corvo Attano. All spells and abilities unlocked in The Knife of Dunwall will carry over as well.
