The alternative history of Prey revealed in new story trailer

A new trailer has gone live for Arkane’s upcoming first-person shooter Prey. The video, The History of TranStar, details the history of Talos I, the facility at the heart of the sci-fi adventure. The setting is the product of an alternate history that sees President Kennedy surviving the assassination attempt in Texas and focusing on the space race. Talos I comes about after a U.S./Russian program turns a satellite into an R&D arm, which becomes home to dangers experiments. Players take on the role of Morgan Yu, a recently awoken subject who finds himself on a Talos overrun by aliens.

Corvo and Emily get out of dodge in new Dishonored 2 trailer

After showing Corvo and Emily going for blood and Emily avoid killing, the duo now use their abilities to hit the road. The latest gameplay trailer for Dishonored 2, Daring Escapes, follows both of them as they combine their abilities, items, and weapons to escape from the Royal Conservatory. It runs nearly four and a half minutes and gives a good overview of what players will have to work with when they decide to beat feet.

Stealth, non-lethal takedowns highlighted in Dishonored 2 trailer

Bethesda has released a new gameplay trailer for Dishonored 2. Following the recently released Creative Kills trailer, Save Anton Sokolov focuses solely on the Empress, Emily Kaldwin. She is on a mission to explore the Clockwork Mansion, but unlike the last video, she’s feeling less bloodthirsty. To keep things quiet, she opts to use non-lethal abilities, gadgets, and stealth as she makes her way around the moving walls and clockwork soldiers.

Things get messy in new Creative Kills trailer for Dishonored 2

After highlighting the return of Corvo last week, today, Bethesda has released a new trailer focusing on Dishonored 2’s mixed combat system. The trailer, Creative Kills, features both Corvo Attano and his daughter Emily Kaldwin. The montage includes over three minutes of the duo combining their supernatural abilities, items, and weapons to take down enemies throughout Karnaca.

Corvo is back in a new gameplay trailer for Dishonored 2. The famed assassin returns to take down the usurper who overthrew his daughter, Empress Emily Kaldwin. Dark Horse producing Dishonored 2 art book, fan art contest kicks off

Bethesda has teamed up with Dark Horse to release a book based on the art of Arkane’s Dishonored 2. The Art of Dishonored 2 will feature exclusive pieces of concept art that chronicle the title’s development from the original. Fans of the series can look for it to hit stores and online outlets on November 22. The studio has also launched a contest where fans can submit their own illustrations for inclusion in the book. Pieces can be submitted by using the hashtag #drawDishonored. Aspiring (or current) artists can check out the rules over at Bethesda.net.

E3 2016: Bethesda – Doom, Fallout, Prey, Quake, Skyrim

Bethesda had several titles on show, a few of which feature the return of several properties that have been absent for a few years, including Prey and Quake. Doom will be receiving free content, Fallout 4 three new downloadable packs, and Fallout Shelter a PC release as well as quests in a new update. Dishonored 2 got a new trailer, screens, and details about its Limited Edition. One of their bigger reveals was Skyrim Special Edition for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Dishonored 2 coming out of the shadows on Nov. 11 for console, PC

Arkane Studios will be returning to Dunwall this November with Dishonored 2. Scheduled to launch on Friday, November 11, Dishonored 2 will once again put players in the shoes of infamous assassin Corvo Attano, but now players will get the chance to play as his royal charge, Empress Emily Kaldwin. Combat will once again feature a mixture of melee, medium- and long-range arms, and supernatural powers. Missions also have a branching structure, with the story shifting in response to the player’s actions. More details are in the current digital issue of Game Informer, while gameplay will premiere during Bethesda’s 2016 E3 Showcase, which will be streamed at 9 p.m. (CST) on June 12 on Twitch and Youtube.

QuakeCon 2016 – Round 2 pre-registration opening later today

Bethesda HQ has sent out word notifying QuakeCon 2016 attendees that the second round of passes is opening today for pre-registration. The package will go live for order today at 7 p.m. (CST) at registration.quakecon.org. The ‘BYOC Select-a-Seat with QuakeCon done Quick’ is $140 and limited to 300 packages. It includes express lane past-pass registration for the BYOC, all events, panels, and presentations, select and reserved seating in the BYOC area, and a lanyard. General attendance remains free.

QuakeCon 2016 pre-registration, package details announced

Bethesda has announced pre-registration details for this year’s QuakeCon. QuakeCon 2016 will once again take place in Dallas, TX, with the event running from Thursday, August 4 to Sunday, August 7. As before, a number of BYOC packages will be purchasable through registration.quakecon.org. The packages will be opened in three stages this year, with the final being pre-registration for general attendees. Note that general attendance will once again be free. Swag packages, previously put together beforehand, will also be customized by attendees. This year’s official shirt design will also be up for vote at quakecon.org.
