Developer- and Publisher-specific Articles: Anomaly Warzone Earth
Despite our best efforts, the aliens have managed to spread out from Baghdad and claim much of the world. 11 bit Studios reminds us of the futility of hope with the announcement that their tower-offense title Anomaly will be continuing later this year with Anomaly 2. Scheduled to come out in the second quarter for Linux, Mac, and PC, the $14.99 sequel will include mech alts for troops (awesome), multiple endings, and multiplayer.
11 bit studios’ tower-offense title Anomaly Warzone Earth has launched on PSN. The $9.99 download-only release pits players against labyrinthine gauntlets of alien defenses as they guide a caravan to safety as a grizzled commander, who happens to be capable of calling down air strikes, smokescreens, decoys, and repair fields. The PS3 version also includes an exclusive co-op multiplayer mode.
11bit Studios revealed at this year’s Gamescom that they are currently developing a follow-up to their recent tower offense title, Anomaly: Warzone Earth, titled Anomaly Korea. No specifics on operating systems or consoles, only “mobiles” mentioned as their target platform, but given that Warzone Earth has been released for Android, iOS, XBLA, and soon PSN, there’s a good chance that you’ll be able to give it a shot (well, more like call down a smoke screen, but that doesn’t have the same ring to it).
11 bit studios’ ‘reverse tower defense’ title Anomaly Warzone Earth has launched on Live Arcade. The 800 MS Point release pits players against a defending alien force that has settled in after a successful invasion. The 360 version includes six exclusive Tactical Trials levels in addition to the Story campaign and two Squad Assault Modes.
11 bit studios’ Anomaly Warzone Earth, a ‘reverse tower defense’ title that has already found a home on iOS, Mac and PC, is scheduled to launch on Live Arcade on April 6. The studio has also announced that it will cost 800 MS Points for players to be able to fight back the alien invasion from the comfort of their sofa. The iOS release has done well since launch, winning the Apple Design Award and Runner-Up for Game of the Year on the Mac App Store.
11 bit studios has released their ‘reverse tower defense’ title, Anomaly Warzone Earth. With near-future Earth being invaded by powerful alien forces, who have taken the extra annoying step to set up massive turrets, players must plan the routes and order in which their units will advance through the alien’s maze of defenses as they go for the jugular.
