Bit.Trip Complete beeps, boops, blasts onto Wii

Fate/Extra coming to North America
The new role-playing game based off of Fate/stay night, Imageepoch and Type-Moon’s Fate/Extra, will be arriving in North American on 11/1/11. Fate/Extra includes new characters as well as old favorites, a new scenario, and “a grand story of destruction, absolution, and deep insight into what it truly means to be human.”

Double Dragon for iOS gets an update
Aksys Games’ iOS beat’em up Double Dragon has received a free update today. The Brizo Interactive-developed port is now compatible with pre-4.0 versions of iOS and features improved CPU and memory consumption, revised in-game text, optional transparency effect for the control panel, and an expanded hit box for the whip.

Wii getting bitted and tripped out with Bit.Trip Complete
When asked whether CommanderVideo was going to take a much-deserved rest after announcing his upcoming collection on the 3DS, Bit.Trip Saga, he replied, “No—for there is more.” With that, Aksys and Gaijin have revealed Bit.Trip Complete for the Wii. The six-game package includes all of the commander’s adventures, new difficulty modes in all games, online leaderboards, letters to the fans from the series’ director, image gallery with concept and promo art, online leaderboards, video gallery with 25 movies, and—whew!—a soundtrack sampler disc.

Record of Agarest War Zero now available for 360, PS3
Aksys Games and Idea Factory’s latest strategy-RPG, Record of Agarest War Zero, is now available for the 360 and PS3. Prequel to last year’s Record of Agarest War, Zero features new animated conversation portraits, a new skill card system for combat, and Free Intention. Free Intention offers a new way to explore towns and not only interact with party members, but to influence their evolving relationships.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II now available for 3DS, PSP
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II, an enhanced port of the original console release, is now available for the PSP and 3DS. Continuum Shift II includes all of the single-player features from the original (Arcade, Score Attack, Training, and Story modes) and an ad-hoc mode for up to four-player multiplayer, with two players brawling and two watching. There are also some port-specific inclusions, such as new story segments for Story Mode and Arcade Mode, a revamped Challenge Mode, Abyss Mode, and Legion 1.5 Mode. The 3DS version will also include 3D effects. Finally, rounding out the feature set is the entire case of the original plus three DLC characters, making for an 18-fighter-strong roster, as well as the balance and revision tweaks introduced in system version 1.03.

Bit.Trip Saga announced, entire series takes on 3DS
CommanderVideo, not content with there being a Nintendo console that knows not his pixels, will be getting his time on the 3DS shortly with a Bit.Trip complication. The collection, Bit.Trip Saga, will include all six titles in the series: Beat, Core, Void, Runner, Fate, and Flux. Not only that, but each are going to be transformed into 3D for even more surreal adventures.

Arcana Heart 3 launches on PS Network
Arcana Heart 3, another 2D fighter from North America’s premiere publisher of eye-searing brawlers, has launched for the PlayStation 3 on the PS Network. Three new fighters join the roster, bringing the total up to 23, and a Simple Mode has been added to ease in newcomers and casual fighting fans. Other single-player modes include Story Mode, Score Attack Mode, and Training Mode. Online multiplayer is also supported, designed by BlazBlue developer Arc System Works, with online lobbies, ranked matches, and replays.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift ver. 1.03,Continuum Shift II for 3DS and PSP announced
Aksys Games is injecting some new life into the BlazBlue universe with an update for the 360 and PS3 Continuum Shift as well as a PSP and 3DS release for the sequel, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II. The update, a free download that will bring the original up to version 1.03, will launch in May along with the follow-up.
