New Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare trailer released for E3

Activision has released the gameplay footage from the PlayStation 4 version of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare that was debuted during Sony’s conference. In the video, protagonist Reyes and his squad break into and destroy an enemy SetDef destroyer. Setting out from the UNSA Retribution, team SCAR gets into a series of dogfights while piloting Jackals before closing in to breach the hull amidst small arms fire.

Bungie announces new Destiny expansion, Rise of Iron

Destiny is being expanded later this year with the new Rise of Iron expansion. Beginning September 20, the $29.99 add-on will augment the base game and two The Taken King expansions (re: they are required) with a new storyline that will see players becoming Iron Lords as they join with old heroes to face a spreading plague. The pack will add a new setting on Earth, The Plaguelands, along with a six-player Raid (Felwinter Peak), three-player co-op Strike, social space, weapons, gear, multiplayer maps, and a mutated variation of the Fallen. To combat the new threats, the Light level will be increased and the Gjallarhorn will be reintroduced.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Zombies map The Giant up for purchase

Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s Zombies map The Giant, a remake of Der Riese, is now available as a single-map purchase. The drop continues the Zombies storyline with returning characters Dempsey, Nikolai, Richtofen, and Takeo. The $5.99 download is up for current-gen consoles and PC, and was previously included as a bonus with the various premium editions (Juggernog, Hardened, and Digital Deluxe) and as part of the Season Pass. PS3 owners can also grab it for the same price as well, though Xbox 360 players will have to wait a bit longer.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Modern Warfare Remastered announced

Recently, hints and then videos began to appear indicating that a new Call of Duty announcement was imminent. Today, the curtain has been pulled back to reveal Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare—and Modern Warfare Remastered. Following the main line’s tendency to go futuristic, the new release will take the fight beyond Earth and into the solar system. The story follows Tier 1 Special Operations pilot Captain Reyes as he commands one of the planet’s last warships, the Retribution, against the fascist Settlement Defense Front. A barren and overpopulated Earth relies on resources supplied by its colonies, but the Front is trying to secure all off-world outposts. From the Retribution, players will also launch sorties in the Jackal jet fighter. Also, all Legacy and Digital Deluxe packages will come with a download for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, which will include the base game and 10 multiplayer maps. Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Eclipse launches on PSN for PS4

Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s second download pack, Eclipse, debuts today on PSN. The drop adds four new maps, one of which is a re-imagining of Call of Duty: World at War’s Banzai, and the next chapter of Zombies, titled Zetsubou No Shima. The maps range from a post-apocalyptic tribal compound to a futuristic civilian sub-orbital airport.

Two Ghostbusters games announced for PC, console, and mobile

Activision has announced that they are teaming up with Sony Pictures to release two new games based on the upcoming Ghostbusters film. Both will take place after the events of the film. Ghostbusters is a PC and console title that focuses on a team of rookies who are called on to save the city after ghosts turn up while the main crew tours the country. It’s a third-person action role-playing game, designed for single player or four-player local co-op, with players leveling up their four-character squad’s abilities and gear. This version is slated to be released on July 12, a few days before the film hits theaters on July 15. The other game is a mobile title also set to launch in July, Ghostbusters: Slime City. It will feature asynchronous co-op, leaderboard support, and the ability to craft proton packs as players take on waves of enemies.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Eclipse trailer released for Zombies

A new trailer has gone live for the next entry in Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s Zombies mode, Zetsubou No Shima. Part of the upcoming Eclipse add-on, Zetsubou No Shima follows Der Eisendrache with the Origins characters stranded on a remote island in the Pacific. After finding a lab that’s been experimenting with Element 115, the group must explore the facilities while battling new enemies, avoiding traps, and tacking side quests.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Eclipse detailed, hitting PS4 on April 19

Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s second downloadable pack, Eclipse, will be launching on PSN on April 19. As with its predecessors, the drop will debut for PS4 with PC and Xbox One versions following afterwards. Eclipse will come with four multiplayer maps—Knockout, Rift, Spire, and Verge—with one being a re-imagining of World at War’s Banzai. Details for each can be found below. A new Zombies entry is also in the pack, Zetsubou No Shima. The latest chapter follows the Origin characters as they make their way to the Division 9 facility in the Pacific—during World War II.

Destiny – Update 2.2.0 gear to be detailed in new livestream

Bungie has announced the line-up and topic for their second Destiny livestream event. Update 2.2.0, set to go live on April 12, is going to be further detailed tomorrow at 1 p.m. (CST) with a new group. Call of Duty: Black Ops III Multiplayer Starter Pack launches on Steam

Activision has released Call of Duty: Black Ops III Multiplayer Starter Pack for PC. The multiplayer-only download is even more streamlined than the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Black Ops III, and will be unlisted on February 29. The pack allows access to public ranked matches as well as Arena, Black Market, Freerun, Gunsmith, Theater, and Weapon Paint Shop. The download costs $14.99, and for those who end up wanting the complete experience, an in-game option allows players to upgrade to the full version.
