Skylanders Giants invading retail this Sunday
Gamers of all ages have made Toys for Bob’s Skylanders a hit, and for those who’ve been waiting for a new adventure, the wait is almost over. Activision has announced that the savior of many a parent’s sanity will return this Sunday with Skylanders Giants. The sequel will once again pit portal masters against the nefarious and stubbornly resilient Portal Master Kaos. Joining the original crew, who carry over all stats and customizations, are 16 new characters, including eight double-sized Giant Skylanders. The new Wow Pow system adds a new upgrade path for new and old Skylander alike—looks like it’s time to break out Trigger Happy.

007 Legends now available for 360 and PS3
Activision is kicking off the celebration for Bonds’ 50th anniversary today with the launch of Eurocom’s 007 Legends for 360 and PS3. The shooter includes an overarching storyline that connects select encounters from five different Bond films (Goldfinger, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Moonraker, Licence to Kill, and Die Another Day), along with a post-launch DLC mission based on the upcoming movie Skyfall, set to launch on November 9 on PSN and on November 20 on Live.

DLC Season Pass, free Elite announced for Call of Duty: Black Ops II
Activision has announced that Call of Duty Elite, the premium service that launched alongside Modern Warfare 3, will be free for all players when Black Ops II launches on November 13. Instead of being an all-in-one platform for tracking stats and accessing downloadable content, the service will be split so that the stat and social-media features will be accessible at no additional cost while the DLC will be sold separately.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II Zombies reveal trailer shambles online
Activision has released a new trailer showing some footage from Black Ops II’s Zombies mode. In addition, it was also announced that gamers who pre-order the Hardened Edition or Care Package will receive an exclusive Nuketown Zombies map.

The Amazing Spider-Man game, DLC now on Live, PSN, and Steam
The Amazing Spider-Man is available digitally today, as well as some pre-order and post-launch downloadable content. The full game is now available from Live Games on Demand for 4800 MS Points, PS Store for PS3 for $59.99, and Steam for PC for $49.99. A host of downloadable content, detailed below, has also been released: Oscorp Search & Destroy Pack, Rhino Challenge Pack, Stan Lee Adventure Pack, and the new Lizard Rampage Pack. The packs range in price from 240 MS Points/$2.99 to 320 MS Points/$3.99, and can be purchased as a set on PS Store for $9.99.

Dinobot Destructor Pack available for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
High Moon Studios is kicking off the launch of their latest DLC pack for Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Dinobot Destructor Pack, with a new trailer showing off the added content. In addition to the latest release, which includes Grimlock, Slug, Snarl, and Swoop for multiplayer and parts for character creation, the Multiplayer Havoc Pack, detailed below, is already available. The last of the packs, Massive Fury Pack, also detailed below, will be out on September 25 and is set to add even more characters and items for multiplayer and parts for character creation.

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron to get Dinobot Destructor Pack DLC
High Moon Studios’ recently released Transformers: Fall of Cybertron will be getting a bit more of the dinos soon with the Dinobot Destructor Pack. The multiplayer-centric DLC drop will launch next week and include Grimlock, Slug, Snarl, and Swoop for online multiplayer. The pack also adds their body and parts for use in the character-creation system.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD now available for PS3
The Robomodo-updated version of Neversoft’s Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD, has launched on PSN. Already available on Live Arcade, and hitting Steam for PC next month, THPS HD includes seven levels, eight skaters, four online multiplayer modes, new objectives, and Facebook integration to share scores.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II to launch in three premium packages
As with its predecessors, Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be arriving in a variety of packages. Activision revealed today that, in addition to the standard release, Black Ops II will launch in three premium versions: Care Package, Digital Deluxe Edition, and Hardened Edition. Each set, detailed below, includes physical and digital bonuses, including the soundtrack, Live avatar costumes, bonus maps, weapon camo, and even a download token for full version of World at War.
