Call of Duty returns to 1940s this November with Call of Duty: WWII

Beginning on November 3, players will once again re-deploy throughout the battlefields of Europe in Call of Duty: WWII. The story will find players trekking across multiple fronts as members of the 1st Infantry Division, experiencing “gritty realism, authenticity and cinematic intensity on an epic scale.” Multiplayer will feature a narrative-driven mode with the ability to create a class, a Headquarters to socialize with other players, and maps set throughout Europe. Nazi Zombies will also return with a standalone storyline. PS4 pre-orders will receive access to the Private Beta, which is set for later this year. In addition to the standard edition, players can pre-order the $99.99 Digital Deluxe Edition with the Season Pass or the $99.99 Pro Edition with the Season Pass and a SteelBook case.

Call of Duty: WWII in development at Sledgehammer

Activision has officially revealed that Call of Duty will be going back in time with the next entry, Call of Duty: WWII. Players can find out more when developer Sledgehammer Games shows what they have in store during a worldwide reveal livestream on Wednesday, April 26. Studio co-heads Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield will be guiding viewers through a first look and detail their plans for the game. The event will kick off at noon CallofDuty.com.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare – Continuum detailed, hitting PSN in April

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s second downloadable map pack, Continuum, will debut on PS4 on April 18. The drop will feature four multiplayer maps and a new zombies add-on, Shaolin Shuffle. The maps, detailed below, feature a spa resort set in an ancient creature’s skeleton, Turista; an abandoned junkyard on the Moon, Scrap; a post-futurist art gallery, Archive; and a remake of Modern Warfare 2’s Rust, set in a penthouse in a futuristic city, Excess. Shaolin Shuffle is set in a 1970s New York, and will feature the return of Paul Reubens as director Willard Wyler, alongside Pam Grier’s dojo master Shaolin Sister, as he traps four prisoners in a horror film: Seth Green’s Punk Rocker, Ike Barinholtz’s Sleazebag, Jay Pharoah’s Street Poet, and Sasheer Zamata’s Disco Chick. The pack will cost $15.00.

Destiny 2 announced for console, PC, launching September

After their extended livestream event for Destiny’s final downloadable pack, Age of Destiny, Bungie has officially announced Destiny 2 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. A reveal trailer was also released, Rally the Troops, offering a look at the sequel’s storyline. Players will once again take on the role of a Guardian, now with new abilities and weapons, in order to save humanity after the last city falls to a new enemy known as the Red Legion. The trailer features two Vanguards calling the Guardians to retake the planet, setting them off on missions to new areas throughout the solar system. As with the original, the game will include co-op, competitive, and solo modes. Bungie is set to premier hands-on gameplay on May 18 during a livestream on their Twitch channel. A beta will also kick off later this summer.

Destiny – Age of Triumph launch trailer, screens go live

For three weeks, Bungie has been livestreaming details about Destiny’s final update, Age of Triumph. Today, a new launch trailer offers a better look at it in action, along with a handful of screenshots. Destiny – Age of Triumph final livestream event this Wednesday

Bungie’s final livestream event for the last round of content for Destiny has been scheduled for this Wednesday, March 22. Beginning at noon, the studio’s Twitch channel will host 3D character artist Ian McIntosh and senior gameplay designer Josh Hamrick for the Sandbox Update livestream. Players don’t have long to wait now, as Age of Triumph is scheduled to go live on March 28.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered celebrates St. Patrick’s Day

Raven is getting into the St. Patrick’s Day spirit with a new update for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. The promo is currently ongoing and features a free themed map, Daybreak, a modified version of Downpour, which also has in-game challenges to earn the holiday-styled weapon camo Folium. Players also receive a free weekly Supply Drop by logging in. Other themed goodies include calling cards, camos, emblems, reticles, and an unlockable playable character, Darren “Graves” Cosgrave. Destiny – Age of Triumph second reveal livestream this Wednesday
