Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below will be released on October 13 as a Day One Edition and a Slime Collector’s Edition. The Day One Edition will come bundled with a code for downloadable equipment, and the Slime Collector’s Edition will add to the Day One’s downloadables a slime plushie, slime keychain, slime lanyard, and even more downloadable content, including bonus quest items and Slime-themed goodies. A full list is available below. The Day One Edition is the standard retail price of $59.99, while the Slime Collector’s Edition is a Square Enix Online Store exclusive for $99.99. Killing for a cure, The Weaponographist now on Steam

Puuba and Mastertronic’s newest action title, The Weaponographist, is now available on Steam for Mac and Windows PC. As demon hunter and jerk extraordinaire Doug McGrave, players must fight their way through five dungeons and slay as many demons as possible in order to lift a curse brought on him after refusing to help a poor village. The curse quickly destroys any weapon he touches, so players must adapt and extend their combos for as long as possible to earn as much demon goop as they can to unlock the upgrades necessary for him to survive long enough to be cured.

The complete version of Dark Souls II, Scholar of the First Sin, is now available for console and PC. In addition to all three download packs (Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, and Crown of the Ivory King), Scholar of the First Sin also includes the new Forlorn invader, a higher multiplayer count, different enemy placement, additional in-game events, expanded item descriptions, interface improvements, and more. New buyers can purchase the game for $49.99, while current owners with the download packs can buy the game for $19.99 and those without the packs for $29.99.

First six screenshots released from dynamic PC RPG Zombasite

The shots are from an early build but give a look at the dynamic world that’s currently in development, featuring some of the environments and factions that remain after an infection has caused the dead to rise. FromSoftware’s latest action-RPG Bloodborne out now for PS4

FromSoftware’s follow-up to Dark Souls 2, Bloodborne, is now available for PS4. The system exclusive sports a similar tone and atmosphere to the Souls series, once again pitting players against hordes of monsters in a foreboding land filled with danger. This time, players must venture through the city of Yharnam in the midst of a deadly outbreak that has led to the streets being filled with crazed citizens and strange monsters, as well as into a constantly changing labyrinth known as the Chalice Dungeon. Combat is a bit different this time around, though, as guns can now be used, which fits nicely with the new Victorian Era theme.

Devolver, Kitty Lambda to debut action-RPG Paradise Never at PAX

Devolver Digital is set to debut a new action RPG from Kitty Lambda Games at PAX East, Paradise Never. The game will take place on a French island colony in 2027, during the outset of a revolution. Players must relive the same three days in order to free the island while keeping as many of their friends and fellow rebels alive. Said to utilize a “sophisticated NPC behavioral system,” players will be able to learn more from characters by talking to them at different times of the day and on different days. Characters left alone will continue on their regular routine. The ultimate goal is to stop the days from restarting, but that will only happen when enough people survive the revolution.

He must defeat demons residing in an abandoned library situated in a nether realm, the Ancient Labyrinth, which will need to be explored and its guard The Keeper defeated several times for everything to be found.

A new gameplay trailer has gone live for Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin. The latest footage showcases the new NPC invader, the Forlorn. The video runs a little over three minutes and shows what players have come to expect from Dark Souls II: pain. Beset by regular enemies, a player desperately tries to get the upper hand as the Forlorn closes in and proceeds to harass them throughout the encounter.

Fable Legends to be free-to-play for Xbox One, Windows 10 PC

Lionhead’s Fable Legends will be a free-to-play release for Xbox One (Xbox Live Gold required) and Windows 10 PC, according to Microsoft. The game will feature regular rotation of heroes (four-character sets, with saved stats and heroes permanently attainable through progression or by purchase), earnable in-game silver but purchasable gold, the ability to lay traps, and the option of purchasing the allegiance of creatures. A FAQ was posted with additional details, and for the especially curious, a video with the game’s director, David Eckelberry, explains the development team’s design philosophy.
