Capcom has released new info about the physical edition of Mega Man Legacy Collection. Scheduled to launch on February 23, the 3DS version will be available as a $29.99 standard version and a $49.99 collector’s edition, while the PS4 and Xbox One versions will run $29.99. The handheld version will feature over 100 new art and history pieces in the Museum; also, owners of the original Mega Man amiibo will be able to unlock exclusive remix challenges. On the subject of amiibos, the collector’s edition will include not only the standard version’s two 3DS themes, 18-song compilation soundtrack, and 4 stickers, but also 6 post cards and an exclusive gold-colored Mega Man amiibo. PS4 and Xbox One owners will also receive the compilation soundtrack and stickers, plus a Robot Master cheat sheet.

Crystal Dynamics has sent Lara back into the wilds today with the release of Rise of the Tomb Raider for Xbox 360 and Xbox One. After surviving her initial outing, Lara is now setting out on her first tomb-raiding expedition to discover the secret of immortality. To get up to speed on what’s in store, check out the recent video series that covers survival skills, combat skills, and puzzles. As a bonus, players who log time with the game between now and November 30 will receive the golden Rattlesnake Revolver Skin.

Rise of the Tomb Raider gets gritty in new Guerilla Combat trailer

The second episode of Rise of the Tomb Raider’s video series Woman vs. Wild has been released. The latest, Guerilla Combat, focuses on the combat skills and tools that players will have access to as they battle the well-armed forces of Trinity. The video runs nearly five minutes and features Lara sneaking around by creating distractions, going crazy with shotguns and assault rifles, and taking to the trees to get the drop on patrols. Weapon upgrades and skills are also covered, along with the crafting system.

Wild, each entry will focus on the various gameplay mechanics that players will utilize to see Lara through her adventure against man, beast, and nature. Sonic returns to Sega’s 3D Classics line today in 3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The $5.99 re-release brings back one of the franchise’s most influential entries, with the debut of Tails, Super Sonic, the popular Casino-themed levels, and the special half-pipe bonus stages. For details about the port, an interview with Sega producer Yosuke Okunari and M2 president Naoki Horii discussing its development has been posted over at Sega’s blog. A new series of system-specific themes for 3DS have also been announced, with the first two, based on the Genesis and the Game Gear (each $1.99), already available on eShop. Next up, in order of release, are the Sega Master System, Sega Mark III, Sega Saturn, Hi-Tech SegA, Sega SG-1000, and Sega Dreamcast.

The video, titled Descent Into Legend, features footage of Lara navigating puzzles and environmental hazards as she searches for the Lost City of Kitezh.
