A new four-week 50%-off sale has launched on PSN for select Namco Bandai titles and DLC. The initial sales list is available below, and includes items for PS3, PSP, and PS Vita from such series as Ace Combat, One Piece, Ridge Racer, and Tekken. Of particular note is the Atorias of the Abyss DLC for Dark Souls at $7.49—lowest price to date. The sale will run until Tuesday, March 5.
Ace Combat Assault Horizon: Enhanced Edition is now available for PC. The $34.99 set includes the base game as well as several DLC packs that add additional skins, skills, and maps, plus seven new aircraft. Multiplayer uses Games for Windows.
Namco Bandai has announced that the Live Games on Demand launch of Ace Combat Assault Horizon has been delayed until January. The push back from December 18 is being put down to strategic reasons, while the + DLC Pack edition for PS3 has launched on PSN and Enhanced Edition for PC is on track for its Q1 2013 release.
Namco Bandai has announced that Ace Combat Assault Horizon will launch as three different packages on Live Games on Demand and PSN on December 18, and in early 2013 for PC. The standard version is already available for $19.99 on PSN, while the upcoming release will be the $29.99 + DLC Pack edition that includes adds six new aircraft and two maps. Live Games on Demand will only offer the standard edition, while Steam will only offer the $34.99 Enhanced Edition for PC. Additionally, a new patch will be available for the 360 and PS3 versions today to fix multiplayer exploits and address minor gameplay and balance issues. It was also announced that the Game Integrated Web Site will end service.
Namco Bandai’s long-running combat flight sim series returns today with Ace Combat Assault Horizon for the 360 and PS3. The Project Aces-developed entry adds a new damage model, for better debris and particle detail, attack helicopters, urban battlegrounds, a close-range assault system, super-sonic jets, door gunners, and a new online multiplayer mode, Capital Conquest. The story, penned by Threat Level Black author Jim DeFelice, puts players in the role of a pilot assigned to an international task force that will find itself taking on missions across the globe. Launch copies will allow access to three free multiplayer skills, and all copies will allow access to the Facebook Skin Design Contest winning entry, Death Rider by Chi-Chun Liu, as a playable skin for the F15-C fighter.
Ace Combat Assault Horizon is closing in on its October 11 release date, so to get everyone primed for its release, Namco Bandai has announce additional details about the multiplayer component. (Tricky devils!) The four mode are: Co-op, Capital Conquest, Deathmatch, and Domination. To help keep players abreast about their performance, a website will be set up that will keep track of rankings and offer ways for the community to keep in touch with one another as well as Project Aces team members. A new single-player demo has launched for Project Aces’ latest Ace Combat, Assault Horizon, on Live Marketplace and PS Network. The demo includes two missions, one in Miami and another in East Africa, with the chance to pilot a jet fighter and, for the first time in the series, a helicopter. The Miami mission introduces Assault Horizon’s hero, Bishop, while players will get to meet the new protagonist, Markov, in East Africa as they support Delta Force operatives.
Namco Bandai has revealed the final box art for the next instalment in the long-running Ace Combat franchise, Ace Combat Assault Horizon. The 360, PS3 release is set to hit store shelves on October 11.
