ToeJam & Earl readying a funk bomb for release on PSN, XBLA
The baddest duo to wear gold chains, shades, and over-sized hats will be strutting onto Live Arcade and PSN soon with ToeJam & Earl and ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron. The Genesis classics will be released as part of Sega’s Vintage Collection series, with 360 gamers getting an 800 MS Point bundle on November 7 and both launching separately on PSN for $4.99 each on November 6. Both titles will include achievements and trophies and support for online co-op play.

As 18-year-old chainsaw-toting Juliet Starling, players will face the undead apocalypse as Starling squares off against—let me double check this…yep—zombie rock lords. The ghosts are back today with the release of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier for the 360 and PS3. Developed by a triumvirate of Ubisoft studios—Paris, Red Storm, and Romania—Future Soldier once against puts players in the boots of a globetrotting special ops soldier whose squad finds itself in the world’s most dangerous hotspots. The troops have access to an arsenal of high-tech gadgetry and weaponry, as well as downloadable player-customized weapons for those moments when the standard assault rifle just won’t do.

Far Cry 3 summer Multiplayer Beta announced for 360, PS3
Far Cry 3 will be showing off its goods a few months early during a two-week beta run this summer. The Multiplayer Beta will be open to 360 and PS3 gamers who are GameStop PowerUp Rewards members and purchase Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier on May 22. Players have the option to choose which system they want to participate in for the beta, which they will confirm through the PowerUp Rewards site. For those who want to try their luck, Ubisoft is offering 500 keys in a Facebook contest, while “Ubisoft social channels such as Ubi.com, farcrygame.com, along with partner social channels and community and media websites” will also have be doling some out.

Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier goes gold for 360, PS3
The troops are about to start pounding the pavement again with the announcement that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier has gone gold for 360 and PS3. Players will lead an elite team of special ops troops around the world as they chase down the world’s baddest with all sorts of high-tech weaponry. Future Soldier will not only support heavy weapon customization but also the Ghost Recon Network, a franchise-spanning app that will keep players abreast about what their friends are up to and what new user-tweaked guns have hit the (virtual) market.

Prototype 2 – preorder contest announced, win a trip and cameo
Activision’s sent word that they’ve teamed up with GameStop in a Prototype 2 preorder contest. From now until September 1, gamers who are at least 18 years old and preorder at GameStop will automatically be entered for a chance to win a trip for two to Radical Entertainment in Vancouver, Canada. The winner will also be made into a character for the game—a trip and immortality, a double whammy.
