The Eastern Front is calling again with the recently launched DLC pack Red Turn: The Road to Berlin 1943-45 for Unity of Command. The $9.99 expansion adds a 17-scenario Soviet campaign, two standalone Axis scenarios, including the Battle of Kursk, four dedicated player-versus-player scenarios, 39 units, new specialist steps, and the 1.04 scenario editor. Owners of Unity of Command can also get the new scenario editor separately for free.
The charming Unity of Command has launched on Steam. Gamers who haven’t had a chance to try out this simple but addictive turn-based title will not only be able to score it at a new reduced price of $19.99, but for the first week, they will be able to download it for $14.99—an additional 25% off. The announcement coincides with the reveal that the game’s first DLC pack is nearing completion, Red Turn: The Road to Berlin 1943-45.
2×2 Games’ Unity of Command has launched for PC. Slitherine and Matrix Games have recently scored a hit on the wargaming-light side with Panzer Corps, and going by what we tried of Unity of Command, they might have done it again. The Eastern Front-focused turn-based strategy game features fast combat with gloriously simple menus and just enough modifiers to give it some meat. As the Wehrmacht or Red Army, players will take on nearly 20 scenarios that feature a focus on supply lines, weather, and terrain, with operational-level units vying for position and battling it out.
