GOG (PC) 2K Addition and Sale Announcement - Screenshot 1 has announced that they are now selling games from 2K Games. To celebrate the addition, a publisher-wide sale is running from now until April 5. Several series are featured, including Railroad Tycoon, X-Com, and Sid Meier’s Pirates!, with some bundles up to 75% off. Eleven titles in total are on offer.

Microsoft holding launch event for Evolve with prizes, developer Q&A

Microsoft is holding a launch event for the Xbox One version of Evolve at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa on Monday, February 9, at 9 p.m. The store will be redesigned to adopt an Evolve theme, allowing early buyers to pick up their pre-order at 12:01 a.m., sign up for giveaways, and ask questions in a Q&A with Major Nelson and developers from Turtle Rock Studios. The first 150 buyers to pick up their game will also receive an Evolve gift bag. Additional details can be found on the event’s Facebook page.

BioShock Infinite’s post-launch storyline comes to an end today with the release of Burial at Sea – Episode Two. The last hurrah follows Elizabeth “in a film noir-style story” set within the city of Rapture and is a direct sequel to the first episode. The third-person shooter puts players on the frontline of an alien invasion as an agent for XCOM. Unlike its strategy counterparts, The Bureau is set in the past, at the beginning of the organization’s war against the aliens. As special agent William Carter, players will command a squad of agents in skirmishes around the country against the invaders.

Sid Meier’s Pirates! drops anchors at App Store for iPad

Sid Meier’s Pirates! returns to gaming today with the series’ debut on the iPad. The 17th-century action-adventure title puts gamers in the pegleg of a pirate out to save their family from the Marquis de la Montalban. Captains will be able to raid the Caribbean and take part in a host of mini-games, from sword fighting to dancing. While Pirates! is compatible with both models, the iPad 2 does have some exclusive features, including optimized graphics, the ability to “piratize” photos to display on ships, and Game Center support.

It looks as though Jackie Estacado’s adventures won’t be continuing as soon as we thought. 2K Games has announced that The Darkness II has been pushed back from October 4 to February 7. The first-person shooter is currently in development at Digital Extremes, who are no doubt refining the many ways in which sentient demon arms can gut a man, and will pick up some time after the original, with Jackie now the head of a crime family.
