Atlus has revealed details about SMT: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker’s SpotPass and StreetPass functionality. The company plans on releasing SpotPass content in waves, with the first set to release after the game is available, consisting of new demons and skill add-ons. The feature will also allow players to get a magic skill, normal skill, and a recommended physical skill for their skill pool to assign to their characters. StreetPass will assign random stat and skill bonuses to the player’s demons. And to show a bit more of what’s in store, new screenshots have been released, and a new Twitch stream is planned to go live today at 4:30 p.m. (CST). Age of Wonders III: Eternal Lords arriving April, plus Linux, Mac ports

Triumph will be releasing a new download pack for Age of Wonders III, Eternal Lords, on April 14. The second add-on will feature new a new story, a new class, new races, and more. The new story centers on a battle between Arvik, heir to the Kingdom of Frostling, who turns to necromancy to reclaim his power. To sit on the throne, he’ll have to decide whether to fight alongside his fellow Frostlings or fully embrace necromancy. Joining the classes are the monster-summoning Necromancers, who can also convert towns to undead cities. Two new humanoid races also join the ranks, the seafaring Frostlings along with a new feline humanoid race, the fast, desert-dwelling Tigran.

Atlus bringing PS3, PS Vita tactical-RPG Lost Dimension stateside

Atlus has announced a second new title this week, a new tactical role-playing game from Lancarse, Lost Dimension. The sci-fi-tinged mystery pits players and their 11-character party, the Special Forces outfit Sealed, against an alien known as The End. Throughout the game, players must form relationships and psychic links with their squadmates in order to enter their minds to find out if they’re a traitor. Those that seem guilty will be put on trial at the end of the link, but players won’t know if they ferreted out the guilty parties until the last battle, at which point they will turn and join The End for the final battle. Traitors are randomly determined at the beginning of each new game, ensuring that no two games are alike.

Sony releases new show Powers on PS Store, first episode up for free

Sony has released the first three episodes of their new scripted original series Powers. Available on PS Store, the show, co-produced with Sony Pictures Television, centers around superheros and the impact that their powers have on their lives, as some turn evil while others struggle with their abilities or to cope after losing them. The first episode can be viewed here for free (and below, in case you hate clicking links), and PS Plus members have access to the first three episodes, as well as the remaining season, for free. New episodes are scheduled to launch every Tuesday until April 28.

Aksys has released a new hybrid visual novel and strategy role-playing game for PS3 and PS Vita, Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters. Up for download on PSN and en route to store shelves, Aksys’ latest has players take on the role of a new student at Kurenai Academy who suddenly finds themselves helping to protect Tokyo from evil spirits as a ghost hunter. Players must undertake 13 missions, planning their strategy and laying traps beforehand, and communicate with other characters to forge relationships that impact the storyline.

Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight coming this summer

Atlus has announced the release date of the North American version of Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight. The follow-up to last year’s Millennium Girl follows in its predecessor’s footsteps as a reimagined version of one of the earlier titles, Etrian Odyssey 2. As before, the game will feature a classic mode and a story mode. Classic mode will have greater party customization and little plot, but it will also include interface improvements, new dungeon designs, and an improve Grimoire system. Story mode will follow a group of pre-made characters in an adventure surrounding Princess Arianna of Caledonia and her protector, the Fafnir Knight, which features animated cutscenes and voiced dialog. Story mode does have one exclusive, and it’s the new Fafnir class, which allows the character to transform into a demonic form.

The Evil Within: The Assignment calls in Kidman, out for console, PC

The Evil Within: The Assignment, the first of a two-part downloadable side story, is available on Live, PSN, and Steam. The Assignment is set during the original game and follows Sebastian’s partner, detective Juli Kidman, during their time apart. Her encounter differs from Sebastian’s in that she encounters new enemies, uncovers different information about the ongoing events, and has her own dealings with Mobius. The second part of her storyline will be available in The Consequence, set to go live this spring.

Fans of Ninja Theory’s take on Devil May Cry will get a chance to revisit an expanded version of their 2013 entry today with DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition. Available for PS4 and Xbox One, the set includes an enhanced version of the original game, upgraded to run at 1080p and 60fps, all downloadable content, and several new additions, such as Vergil being playable in Vergil’s Bloody Palace. The new survival mode features enemies and locations from the post-release downloadable bonus campaign Vergil’s Downfall. Some of the other new features include the addition of a configurable targeting option, gameplay balancing, new ‘classic’ skins, and a new difficulty level, Gods Must Die Mode.
