Biart’s sci-fi-themed third-person shooter Deep Black: Reloaded will be launching for the PC on March 1. The $39.99 download-only release will be available at a variety of digital outlets, while its console counterpart will be hitting Live Arcade for the 360 and PSN for the PS3 later in 2012. Set in a near-future world on the brink of disaster, players enter a world of espionage and bio terrorism as they set out to gain control of a doomsday weapon in 40 single-player missions set on land and under water.

The Tales saga continues today with release of Tales of the Abyss for the 3DS. Featuring touch-screen controls and stereoscopic 3D graphics, the latest chapter in the long-running series centers around the exploits of Luke fon Fabre, the last of an aristocratic family. Thrust into a life of adventure after years of isolation, Luke will struggle with “friendship, sacrifice, duty and choice” as players use the real-time Flex Range Linear Motion Battle System to best foes and save the world from destruction.

Sega has just released one of the few reasons for anyone—well, me—to jump on the Move bandwagon: The House of the Dead 3. The download-only HD re-release of the arcade and Xbox lightgun shooter is available on PSN for $6.99. A demo of Futuremark’s B-movie-themed tower defense title Unstoppable Gorg is now available for Windows PC and Mac. The demo includes four levels, cutscenes, challenges, and access to Arcade mode.

Gamers itching to try their hand at Mass Effect 3 finally have their chance with a new demo now available for the 360, PC, and PS3. The demo begins with an invasion of Earth by the Reapers and concludes with a single-player mission from later in the game. Players are also able to create a Commander Shepard for their trial run, tweaking name, gender, and appearance. Once those selections are made, plus some for background, the game will then prepare a brief history of this insta-Shephard so that newcomers and series vets alike are able to follow the events included in the demo.

Jagged Alliance: Back in Action, the latest in the long-running strategy series centered on a player-owned Private Military Corporation, is now available in retail and through digital outlets. As the leader of a PMC, you will hire, train, and equip mercenaries in order to fulfill a contract that calls for the deposition of Arulco island’s ruling dictator. A “plan & go” system combines both turn-based and real-time strategy elements, while the soldiers gain experience and advance through a role-playing-styled leveling system.

Developed by Eat Sleep Play, which itself was co-founded by the series’ creators, the latest entry in the car-combat series features four groups battling it out for the chance to have a single wish granted by the founder of the Twist Metal tournament, Calypso.
