Bungie has introduced Destiny’s first raid, The Vault of Glass. The six-player end-game event adds a new location to the game for players level 26 and above. Combined Arms, a new versus multiplayer playlist, is going to follow up the raid later this week, setting teams against one another in two modes on vehicle maps. Next week will also mark the debut of the game’s first timed event, Queen’s Wrath. Players will be able to take on new Bounties, unlock mission modes, and acquire some Legendary and Rare rewards. Queen’s Wrath will run from September 23 to October 6.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax trailer deluge – story, systems, characters

Atlus has released several new trailers from their upcoming fighter Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. The featured video is the story trailer, which shows the menacing, mysterious fog from Persona 4 once again covering the small town of Inaba, forcing the cast to turn on one another in a new tournament. The other four trailers, posted below, focus on the new systems as well as on three different characters: Aigis, Adachi and Marie. The latter two of which will be available as free DLC during the week after launch.

Activision bringing Chivalry: Medieval Warfare to 360, PS3 this fall

Torn Banner Studios is currently working with Mercenary Technology to bring their action title Chivalry: Medieval Warfare to 360 and PS3. The titles’ console debut will be available this fall as a download-only release, according to publisher Activision. In addition to the PC version’s four classes (Archer, Knight, Man-at-Arms, and Vanguard), 60-plus weapons, and ability to lay siege to castles and raid villages, the console version will also support 12-player multiplayer.

Grand Theft Auto V for next-gen console, PC dated, media released

Rockstar has announced that the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto V will launch on November 18 for console and January 27 for PC. A host of new, exclusive content was also revealed. In addition to graphical improvements, including higher resolution and greater draw distances, there will be new activities, weapons, vehicles, foliage system, new songs (100+), and DJ mixes. There will also be more wildlife and traffic, an enhanced weather effects, and improved damage effects. PS3 and Xbox 360 owners picking up one of the new versions will also receive some extras, including new activities (e.g., wildlife photography), shooting range challenges, weapons, and rare versions of vehicles from previous entries, such as a faster, nimbler Blimp. GTA Online is also getting a player limit boost up to 30. Pre-orders will also receive $1,000,000 in in-game cash for both the single-player portion and GTA Online.

An exclusive limited edition of Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign- will be available for PS3 and PS4. The PS3 version will run $69.99 and the PS4 version $79.99, with each including an outer box themed after The Backyard, a soundtrack arranged by series creator Daisuke Ishiwatari, a character book with history from Overture and XX Accent Core Plus, and a keychain designed after Sol Badguy’s original belt buckle. All versions are currently available for pre-order. Shots of the set will be posted as soon as they are released.

Turn 10 launches Forza Rewards program for free cars, in-game cash

Turn 10 has announced a set of rewards for fans of Forza, including free cars for Forza Horizon 2, through the new Forza Rewards program. Gamers have the chance to unlock up to five non-DLC rides, listed below, before they boot up the game by completing certain challenges in Forza 2 through 5, with the examples given being the number of cars owned and miles driven in Forza 5. Rewards, which also includes other cars and in-game credits, are based on a tier system, and any earned items are awarded at the beginning of the month based on which of the five tiers the player reached during the preceding month. Horizon 2 players will receive a gift car (or cars) through the program, with the reward based on the tier reached by launch.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 to be released in episodes and on disc

Capcom has detailed their plans for the release of Resident Evil Revelations 2. The sequel will continue the episodic format of the original, but instead of simply being a method presentation, the breaks will constitute individual weekly downloads that will run for a four-episode season. Each episode will be available individually for $5.99 or altogether as a Complete Season bundle for $24.99. Those who prefer a physical copy will be able to buy a retail disc version, set to ship after the final episode goes live, for $39.99. Additional, unspecified extra content will be included with the Complete Season bundle, which will also be included along with even more bonus content in the physical version. Revelations 2 follows Terra Save agents Claire Redfield and Moira Burton in their attempt to escape a zombie- and mutant-infested prison.

Wii U owners will be able to hack their way around Chicago—and into some explosive chaos—this November in Watch Dogs. Beginning on November 18, gamers will get the chance to don their GamePads in a quest for revenge as hacker turned vigilante Aiden Pearce. The Wii U version will support Off-TV Play, allowing for gaming sessions to move between TV and GamePad, and add an interactive map of the city on the GamePad whenever played on a TV.

Those Persona fans who have held out from importing the Persona Q Edition of the 3DS XL are in luck: Atlus has announced a North American release. The $199.99 themed system will only be available at GameStop and sold only as hardware, meaning that there will be no bundle pack that includes the game. The Persona Q 3DS XL will be available in limited quantities but will be up prior to release for pre-order, though no date was given on when it’ll go live for pre-order.
