In case you missed the announcement earlier today about the Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker PSP Entertainment Pack, Konami has announced that the PSP-exclusive Peace Walker will hit store shelves on June 8. It will also be available for download for PSPgo owners.
Labeled as the next true chapter in the franchise by series creator Hideo Kojima, Peace Walker is the direct sequel to Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Set in 1974, Snake now finds himself in the waning years of the Cold War and embroiled in a plot for world domination. In addition to its story-based campaign, the game will also feature a new adhocParty mode, which allows players to connect their PSPs to PS3 systems for online multiplayer action. Friends can join together for the CO-OPS (CO-operative OPerationS) mode online, allowing teammates to render medical help, share munitions, and cover each other's blind spots using the Snake formation.
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker carries an MSRP of $39.99 and should be on store early June.
