SEGA has announced that Infinite Space, a role-playing space sim (an awesome combination if I had ever heard one), has shipped to retail. As Yuri, a young man set against crazed dictators and space pirates (yessss), you will get to assemble and command crews, design ships, and lead an armada across the galaxy. There are over 100 spaceship blueprints, over 200 ship modules, and around 70 hours of play as the story’s many subplots work their way through to the finale.
Multiplayer combat is also supported, through local wireless connection for up to two players. Infinite Space should be hitting store shelves in the next few days.
