Foto Showdown, Konami’s first exclusive DSi release, has shipped to retail. In this action role-playing game players will be able to use the DSi’s built-in camera to add a personal touch. The game will utilize photos to generate monsters based on the dominant colors in the shot. Players will then be able to take the monsters into a series of tournaments, consisting of over 70 levels, to battle it out with rivals in turn-based combat. By defeating their opponents, players will be able to upgrade their monsters with new abilities and weapons. With up to 152 monsters to collect and three kinds of cameras to win, unlocking new monsters and levels, victory holds several rewards.
Foto Shodown also takes advantage of the DSi's online capabilities with local wireless available for swapping monsters and versus. Look for it to hit store shelves later this week.
