Metal Slug XX for the PSP has shipped to retail and should be on store shelves right… about… now. Or now. You know, it’s hard to over or undersell the Metal Slug series, considering it’s about 90% shooting and 10% jumping. If you’re new to the series and unsure about checking it out, then just make a homemade checklist with the following yes-no questions of if you do or do not enjoy the following: shooting and gutting Random Evil Soldiers, lively 2D action, and two-player co-op. Then you can toss in some personality, multiple playable characters, seven missions, and the 70-mission, trial-based Combat School. And it’s $19.99. Oh, how I miss (old) SNK.
