Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II have launched for the iPhone and iPod touch. Both titles can be downloaded and purchased from the Apple Store for $8.99 each. Released in Japan back in 1987 and 1988, respectively, these seminal favorites have been revamped with enhanced graphics, sounds, and controls.
In celebration, Square is also running a limited-time promo, slashing prices on five other downloadable titles. Crystal Defenders ($5.99 from $7.99), Vanguard Storm ($3.99 from $4.99), Sliding Heroes ($0.99 from $2.99), Hills and Rivers Remain ($4.99 from $6.99), and Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes – Encoure ($7.99 from $9.99) will all be on sale until March 3.
