Activision has announced the North American release of Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief video game for the DS. The Lightning Thief is a tactical role-playing game based on the first novel in the book series as well as the upcoming FOX feature film.

The Lightning Thief is set in a modern world where the twelve gods of Mount Olympus are alive and Percy Jackson, the teenage son of Poseidon, is suspected of stealing the mighty lightning bolt of Zeus. You will have to plan who out of Percy and his friends to take into battle in order to make it through Zeus’ many trials, combining their abilities for combos, levels, and loot.

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief is now available for Nintendo DS at the retail price of $29.99.
