Official Statement

Evolution Worlds is the next episode in the epic adventure of heroes, Mag and Linear, from Evolution and Evolution 2.

After the demise of a superior ancient civilization, Cyframe technology -- enchanted mechanical body weaponry -- is discovered. Every young adolescent aspires to be a Cyframe "Adventurer," including Evolution Worlds' feisty hero, Mag.

Mag and his friend, the enigmatic heroine, Linear, embark on a journey to discover the mysterious Evolutia. Evil warriors of the Eighth Empire are also trying to find Evolutia, the last piece of the ancient world.

General Information
Initially released on Sega’s Dreamcast, Evolution I and II introduced the gaming world to Mag Launcher and his adventuring friends. Along with his butler, Gre Nade, Chain Gun, and the mysterious Linear Cannon, they set off searching for lost treasure and whatever trouble they can find. Even if you haven’t played the titles, it’s obvious by the characters’ names that Evolution centered on a more humorous aspect of role-playing; Mag is a well-to-do treasure hunter who competes with Chain Gun, but when Mag’s silent friend, Linear, gets into trouble, the adventure begins as Mag and Chain join forces to protect their quiet friend from would-be kidnappers, and rid the world of some evil doers.

Hoping to capture the same humor and fresh take on the genre with the light hearted characters and some new gameplay elements, Sting is looking to make one of the GameCube’s first RPGs one of the best on the market. Continuing the story of Mag and friends, there will be over 100 characters that will span over more than 40 hours of gameplay. With enhanced vocals, graphics, new hidden features, and 360-degree turn-based combat, Evolution Worlds looks to not only continue the charming series, but to give GameCube owners the kind of role-playing title that they crave.
