Tekken 7 launching June 2, Digital Deluxe, Collector’s Edition detailed

Bandai Namco has announced that Tekken 7 will launch for console and PC on June 2. The home port will expand on the arcade version with additional characters, online tournament modes, and a story mode. A new trailer has been released to highlight the story mode, along some new screens showing off some of the cinematics as well as the bundled extras. In regards to extras, the game will be released in several versions, with a Collector’s Edition and a Deluxe Edition, and are detailed below along with the various pre-order bonuses. Lastly, PS4 players will receive some freebies, including a Jukebox Mode and legacy costumes from Tekken 2 and 4 for King, Jin, and Xiaoyu.

Dishonored 2 update adds custom difficulty settings, mission select

Arkane Studios has released the second free update for Dishonored 2. The latest download adds two new features: Custom Difficulty Settings and Mission Select. The former adds over 20 sliders for players to customize their game, adjusting everything from the number of enemies who will attack simultaneously to the speed of sleep darts. It will also add Iron Mode, which features permadeath and no manual saves. Mission Select allows for any mission to be unlocked once played, with the player’s status retained from the playthrough. The patch is available for all versions.

Dark Souls III downloadable finale revealed, The Ringed City

The final downloadable pack has been announced for Dark Souls III. In The Ringed City, players will be seeking out the Slave Knight Gael in search of the Dark Soul of Humanity. Their quest will take them to the Ringed City, where “they will encounter ancient beasts, a new cast of characters teetering on the edge of insanity, new armor, weapons, magic, and at the bottom of it all, a long lost city filled with new horrors for players to overcome.” Check below to find the announcement trailer.

Halo Wars 2 begins Blitz Multiplayer Beta for PC and Xbox One

Halo Wars 2’s Blitz multiplayer has gone live for PC and Xbox One. Any Windows 10 PC player and Xbox One owner with Live Gold can download it now, and play it until January 30. The beta features all of the units, with the mode’s twist that the player has their leader powers and army ready to go at the beginning of each match due to picking them out beforehand as a deck of a dozen cards. Everything has an associated energy cost, so players must balance the units they choose with the energy pool available to them. The beta is only for player versus player, but the final version will also allow for player versus environment while in Blitz. Rogue Factor adapting Necromunda: Underhive Wars to console, PC

Focus Home and Rogue Factor are following up the recently released Mordheim: City of the Damned with a new console and PC release, Necromunda: Underhive Wars. The Games Workshop tabletop game is set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and will feature a turn-based combat system with role-playing-style leveling mechanics. Players take charge of a faction of soldiers who are engaged in a long-running war for the Underhive, “a gigantic warren of derelict factories, rusted metal husks, and forgotten technologies.” More info will be sent out on February 1 and 2 during Focus Home’s What’s Next event in Paris.

Halo War 2 Blitz multiplayer kicking off Jan. 20, dev letter released

Halo War 2’s ‘Blitz’ multiplayer beta has been officially dated for January 20. To get players up to speed, the developers have released a letter on what they can expect during the period. Blitz is a card-based mode, and both PC and Xbox One players will get a chance to try it early. Player’s decks are described as one of their greatest resources, as they build them with cards based on air, ground, and ground units. None of the cards earned will carry over to the final game, but reward cards will be given to participants as a thank-you for their time. Head down for the letter to get all of the details.

Final Fantasy XV sells over 6 million, carnival event kicking off Jan. 24

Final Fantasy XV has sold over six million units, according to Square Enix. The figure includes copies sold at retail and through digital outlets. Five of the six million were sold on launch day. Post-release downloadable content has also gone live to expand the base game, with two drops on offer: the free Holiday Pack and for-pay Holiday Pack+. Downloading either pack will allow players to access a special upcoming in-game event, the Moogle Chocobo Carnival, beginning Tuesday, January 24.

Forza Horizon 3 – Rockstar Car Pack launches for PC, Xbox One

Turn 10 and Playground are ringing in the new year with a new set of rides for Forza Horizon 3. The seven-car Rockstar Car Pack includes the debut of the BMW i8 along with a wide range of additions from a Ford trophy truck to a Volve supercar. The seven include the 2015 BMW i8, 2015 Volvo V60 Polestar, 2015 Radical RXC Turbo, 1972 Ford Falcon XA GT-HO, 1987 Nissan Skyline GTS-R (R31), 2014 Ford #11 Rockstar F-150 Trophy Truck, and the 2016 Bentley Bentayga. Killer Instinct adds a free costume, The Legend of Thunder

Iron Galaxy has released a free new costume for Killer Instinct’s Thunder. According to the announcement, the Nez Percés assisted the studio in coming up with Thunder’s original look, but the ties to nostalgia and the lead up to release led to them being unable “to get everything right.” Now that they’ve wrapped up season three, the team has returned to release a costume said to be 100% authentic to the cultural traditions of the Nez Percé.

Infiltrate a slaughterhouse in 15-minute Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 video

Players can get an extended look at Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 today with a new 15-minute-long gameplay video. Developer CI Games walks viewers through a never-before-revealed location, a slaughterhouse nestled in the Georgian mountains. As Marine Jon North, players must break in to rescue an American prisoner. To achieve his mission, he has access to a wide variety of equipment and weapons, including a new aerial drone, which is featured in the footage.
