The Evil Within 2 trailer introduces (killer) photographer Stefano

A new trailer for The Evil Within 2 shows one of the human monsters that players will have to contend with as Sebastion. The highlighted terror is former war photographer Stefano Valentini, who has somehow made his way into the STEM world. Described as “an artist with dark proclivities and unbounded imagination,” he went insane after losing an eye in an explosion, eventually becoming obsessed with taking photos of subjects during their final moments. In an effort to capture people during this precarious time, he ends up turning into an infamous serial killer to ensure that he has plenty of chances to get the perfect shot. He isn’t alone, either, as he is joined by one of his creations, Obscura.

Rock of Ages II: Bigger and Boulder to be released August 28, 29

Ace Team is back pushing boulders with news that Rock of Ages II: Bigger and Boulder will be released later this month. The sequel to the 2011 original will find its way onto PC and PS4 on August 28 and onto Xbox One on August 29. Listed as “part Tower Defense, part Racing, part Art History lesson, and all-smashing game,” the hybrid release has players attempting to assist the Greek Titan Atlas. He needs to recover the weight on his shoulders as he makes his way through the ages, and players will help him defeat Art History-themed villains from such movements as Impressionism, Surrealism, Late Gothic, and Renaissance. In addition to new characters, enemies, and stages, multiplayer is being expanded with four players capable of playing locally or online with customizable banners and colors.

For Honor begins Season Three tomorrow with Grudge & Glory

For Honor’s third season is set to kick off tomorrow with several tweaks and additions. Dubbed Grudge & Glory, the update introducing the new season is described as the game’s biggest to date, adding two heroes, two maps, ranked play, and more customization items. Ranked play and both maps, Sentinel and Viking Village, are going to be free for all, while the Gladiator and the Highlander will launch tomorrow as part of the Season Pass but cost 15,000 Steel each for everyone else, beginning August 22. The Gladiator is a Knight Assassin that wields a trident and shield, and trades armor for an increased stamina meter as well as reduced cooldown times. The Highlander is a Viking Hybrid who can switch between two fighting forms, one focused on defense that allows for counter attacks and trade blows, and the other on attacking, allowing him to ably use the longest sword in the game.

Call of Duty: WWII trailer details upcoming Multiplayer Private Beta

Call of Duty fans eager to know more about its online action are getting their chance today with the release of a new video. The WWII Multiplayer Private Beta trailer highlights some of the options that will be available when the beta goes live on August 25 for PS4. Gamers can look forward to trying out some of the new maps as well as War Mode as part of all five Divisions, which replace the traditional Pick 10 Create-a-Class system. In addition to the introduction, Operation Breakout, three maps (Pointe Du Hoc, Ardennes, and Gibraltar) will be included along with several modes (Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint). Headquarters, Loot, Supply Drops, and eSports support will not be available during this period, however. Sledgehammer notes that the period will be critical to testing “core gameplay, our game systems, as well as a stress test of our online infrastructure at scale.” For more information, check out the studio’s latest blog post.

Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition coming this September

Fallout 4 will be returning with an all-in-one bundle as Fallout 4: Game of the Year Edition. The set will feature all of the updates, including Survival mode, enhanced visuals, the ability to play Mods, and all six downloadable packs. The latter adds new areas, objects, and enemies with Nuka-World, Vault-Tec Workshop, Contraptions Workshop, Far Harbor, Wasteland Workshop and Automatron. The studio is also planning on releasing a limited quantity of Game of the Year Pip-Boy collector editions for $99.99 at select retailers.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus’ Trust in Brother teaches a lesson

Did … did I just see you eat chocolate? I hope not! Why? All is explained in the latest episode of Trust in Brother, one of the TV shows that appears within Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Described as a “Nazi-fied take on a classic American sitcom,” the live-action show takes place in the game’s alternate history, after the events of the original Wolfenstein didn’t pan out as expected. Destiny 2 multiplayer highlighted in Competitive Multiplayer Trailer

Activision is offering a better look at Destiny 2’s multiplayer. A new video highlights some of the new four-versus-four modes and maps, such as Control, Countdown, and Survival. That said, Bungie also noted that they are aiming at having modes that are accessible to both casual and competitive players. Check the trailer out below.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 released for console, PC

The Blue Bomber returns for another compilation with the release of Mega Man Legacy Collection 2. The original included the 8-bit releases, while the follow-up bundles together Mega Man 7, 8, 9, and 10. Additionally, bonus content has been included to beef up the package, such as a Challenge Mode with trials and boss rushes, a Museum with concept and production art, a Music Player, and the DLC packs for Mega Man 9 and 10.

PS4 version of Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom gets three editions

Role-playing fans will be able to grab one of three physical editions for Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. The PC version will only be available digitally, but PS4 owners will be able to purchased a $59.99 Day One Edition (Special Sword Set DLC), $79.99 Premium Edition (music CD, SteelBook case, and more), or a $199.99 Collector’s Edition (plush, making-of Blu-Ray, diorama, DLC Season Pass, and more). Full details for each can be found below. The Season Pass can be bought separately for $19.99, which includes two unspecified “large” releases as well as a Supply Kit that features “items hand-picked for the discerning adventurer.”

Sine Mora EX sets out for PC, PS4, and Xbox One

Sine Mora has moved into the latest console generation in the form of an updated version, EX. It will also be making its way onto Switch later this summer. Some of the latest features include support for 16:9, English dialog (with original Hungarian), a story mode, local two-player co-op, improved rendering, new challenge levels, and three additional modes (Dodgeball, Race, and Tanks). PC and PS4 Pro versions can also run the game natively in 4k at 60 frames per second.
