Zen unleashes the ladies with Marvel Pinball: Women of Power

Zen Studios has released two packs of tables featuring heroes and villains for Marvel Pinball. The tables are available across their console and PC lines, with the mobile versions getting them on Thursday. Ms. Marvel, Black Widow, Squirrel Girl, and others make appearances. On one table, Black Widow and Madame Masque must keep the Cosmic Cube balls from breaking to avoid an alternate reality dominated by the Soviet Union. On another, Bombshell and Ms. Marvel duke it while Squirrel Girl and Spider-Gwen assist from the sidelines.

RPG Creator game-creation kit launching for iOS on September 25

Degica has announced that they will be expanding their role-playing creation kits to mobiles with RPG Creator for iOS. The app will allow users to craft their own handheld adventures, with options to create castles, caves, villages, and world maps, as well as access behavioral databases to control enemy actions and events. Assets can be imported to customize the quest, or users can utilize pre-made items provided in the download. Games will also be uploadable and downloadable, allowing for players to share their creations.

Cinematic trailer released for supernatural adventure Virginia

After a brief teaser, Variable State has released a cinematic trailer for their upcoming supernatural procedural Virginia. The footage is taken from gameplay, but spliced together to offer a wider look at the thriller’s characters and environments. Taking its cues from television, the developers utilize a variety of editing techniques, including dissolves, jump cuts, and montages, throughout the game.

Slitherine has released a new campaign set during the Second War for Armageddon. Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon – Da Orks tackles the war from the perspective of the Orks in a standalone three-act campaign. The game features a revamped interface as well as a new tutorial and skirmish mode. The tutorial is a mini-story in itself that follows the battles of the warlord Ghazghkull Thraka. Players can also utilize cross-platform play via PBEM.

Mobius Final Fantasy now available for Android, iOS

Square Enix’s latest mobile role-playing title, Mobius Final Fantasy, has launched for Android and iOS. A free download with in-app purchases, Mobius focuses on character customization and ongoing live events. Players take on the role of an amnesiac who finds himself in the world of Palamecia. He’s soon tasked with investigating a prophecy about a warrior of light in order to restore hope. As a bonus, from now through August 31, special items are being rewarded for players who dive into the game, including Tidus’s weapon Brotherhood from FFX, extra Ability Tickets, bonus Summon Tickets, and a Yuna character card. Daily login rewards will also run through August 12, gifting players with extra Ability Tickets, Bronze Openers, and Elixirs.

Warner Bros. to distribute Telltale’s Batman, The Walking Dead series

Warner Bros. Interactive has teamed up with Telltale Games to distribute two of the latter’s upcoming titles, Batman – The Telltale Series and the third season of The Walking Dead. Batman will debut digitally this August for console, mobile, and PC. A physical version will hit stores on September 13 as a Season Pass Disc that will include the first of the season’s five episodes on the disc. The remainder of the episodes will be downloadable as part of the package as they become available.

Fallout Shelter released for PC, updated with Quests and new combat

The Windows PC version and next update for Fallout Shelter that were revealed during E3 have gone live. The PC version includes all of the updates for the mobile version, including pets, crafting, and Fallout 4 characters. The game is free and available to download exclusively through the Bethesda.net launcher. It also features everything from the new patch, Update 1.6. Also available today for the mobile versions, this beefy download adds a new Quest system, an accompanying combat system, and several new locations, such as Fallout 4’s Red Rocket Fuel Stop and the Super Duper Mart. The combat system allows for direct attacks and has a mini-game for landing critical hits. Players will need to make good use of it as they lead their dwellers against new bosses, ghouls, and radscorpions.

Motion-based action title Severed announced for iOS, DS, and Wii U

Drinkbox Studio’s touch-control action title Severed will be released for iOS, DS, and Wii U later this summer. As the one-armed warrior Sasha, players set out on a quest to find her family that will see them facing strange monsters and solving puzzles by using swipe motions. As she progresses, players will gain new powers as they unlocks abilities along an upgrade tree.

The Deus Ex Universe is expanding by two new titles, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided – Breach and Deus Ex Go. Breach is a new mode that will be in Mankind Divided that will offer an arcade-style mini-game where players take on the role of a Ripper. As a digital thief, players must break into servers to steal classified corporate info to sell for cash and experience. It will also be a live mode with new challenges and features being added after release. Deus Ex Go is a turn-based puzzle game for phones and tablets that centers on infiltration. As Adam Jensen, players will hack, fight, and use augments to solve puzzles of the Go series to learn more about a terrorist plot. Trailers and screens for both have been posted below, along with some new shots from the recently streamed Mankind Divided demo.

Romancing SaGa 2 debuts stateside for Android, iOS devices

Square Enix has brought Romancing SaGa 2 to North America for the first time. Originally released for the Super Famicom in 1993, mobile gamers will be able to play the first official localization on Android and iOS devices. The portable version has been updated with touch controls, improved graphics, the ability to auto-save, new classes (diviner and ninja), and a New Game+ mode. The multi-generational title follows the rulers of the Vareness Empire as they attempt to end a long-running war against the Seven Heroes. The storyline adds an imperial succession system, which ties together the freeform scenarios that were introduced in the original.
