The first download pack for Dark Souls II, Crown of the Sunken King, has launched today. The release marks the debut of The Lost Crowns trilogy, a download-only expansion set that adds new enemies, locations, and bosses. Crown of the Sunken King is set in an underground cavern filled with stepped pyramids, within which will be found the first of several prized crowns that were previously owned by King Vendrick.

Rise of Venice – Gold Edition sets sail online, now on Steam

Virtual traders will be able to tighten their hold on the sea trade with the release of Rise of Venice – Gold Edition. The set, available digitally today and in stores on August 26, includes the base game, the Beyond the Sea expansion, and both DLC packs, Steamship and Sea Monsters. The expansion widens the playable area as far as Gibraltar as well as adds 13 new cities, new residence missions, special Doge tasks, and the NAO ship class.

Invasion, Call of Duty: Ghosts’ third DLC pack, is now available for PC, PS3, and PS4. The download includes four multiplayer maps, three of which are new additions and one a revamped version of Call of Duty 2’s Favela; Awakening, the next episode in the Extinction storyline; and several new Field Orders. Atlus details Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Evo side tourney, Adachi DLC

Atlus has announced that Adachi, the hapless detective in Persona 4, will be available as a downloadable character in the upcoming fighter Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. He is being added as paid DLC, but players who purchase the game early enough will be able to download his pack for free during launch week. In Evo news, Atlus also announced that they will not only have hands-on demos available at their booth, but that they are also putting up a $1,000 prize purse for a Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Side Tournament. A new crop of screenshots from Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited has been released by NIS America. The new pics show a few of the new scenarios that are being added to the PS Vita re-release as well as the older character models in their new high-res forms. In addition to the new content, A Promise Revisited will include all of the original PS3 version’s post-launch DLC.

Payday 2: Big Bank DLC now available on Steam for PC

The PC version of Payday 2 has received a new DLC pack today, Big Bank. The $6.99 download features the Benevolent Bank, which sports better vaults and more guards than any previous bank but also houses bigger vaults and rewards. Since this is the biggest score to date, players will be able to engage a pre-planning phase to check out blueprints and choose power-ups, such as better weapons and getaway drivers. The pack also adds a new contact, The Dentist, voiced by Breaking Bad’s Giancarlo Esposito.

Drakengard 3 gets final batch of DLC, contest announced

The last round of downloadable content has launched for Drakengard 3. Over six weapon and outfit packs as well as a prologue and a theme pack are now available on PSN, and each is detailed below. Several of the packs were pre-order bonuses or are from the Collector’s Edition, including three alternate color schemes for Zero, an outfit based off of Caim’s from Nier, a costume based from Nier’s outfit in the Japan-only Nier Replicant, and even a Giant Baby head for Mikhail styled after the bizarre creatures in the first Drakengard. One’s Prologue, formerly a CE exclusive, is also available, which helps to flesh out backstory behind all the bloody mayhem.

Physical version of Tropico 5 for PC to get first DLC pack free

Kalypso has announced that they will be giving away Tropico 5’s first DLC pack to PC gamers who pick up the physical copy, which will hit store shelves tomorrow. The add-on, titled The Big Cheese, will be unlocked automatically when it goes live later this summer. The extra is a thank-you bonus from the publisher because of the physical version being pushed back due to a manufacturing delay.

Capcom has released a new download pack for Dead Rising 3, the incredibly named Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX + alpha. The new pack adds an arcade mode with support for four-player co-op, new Capcom-themed costumes, and all previous Dead Rising protagonists as playable characters. The costumes, cribbed from Final Fight, Street Fighter, Vampire Savior, and other series, also bestow the original owner’s powers onto the Dead Rising crew. Shadow bosses, giant super zombies, and unlockable bonus characters are also included.
