Alan Wake’s American Nightmare launch trailer released
With all the hubbub surrounding the PC release of Alan Wake, the launch of the 360 standalone spin-off, American Nightmare, has (almost) snuck up on us. To remind everyone that Alan is still at war with the dark, this time with a doppelganger going by the name Mr. Scratch, Remedy has released a launch trailer showcasing some of the new dangers. The 1200 MS Point release also includes a new Horde-style arcade mode, Fight till Dawn. Get your flares ready.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 to get episode DLC, new costumes
Final Fantasy XIII-2′s second post-launch DLC pack has been announced for the 360 and PS3, a new episode titled Sazh: Heads or Tails? The new side quest runs parallel to the main storyline, and as with the previous DLC release, the Lightning and Master Sergeant Amodar Coliseum Battle, victory is rewarded with the option to recruit him as a party member. The 400 MS Point/$4.99 pack, due out February 28, also comes with two new card games for Serendepity, Chronobind and Serendipity Poker.

Epic Quest brings role-playingness to the pinball world
Zen Studios’ latest pinball adventure, Epic Quest, is now available for consoles and mobile platforms. Xbox gamers can download the role-playing pinballer as part of the Pinball FX2 platform for 240 MS Points, while PlayStation gamers can snag it as a standalone download off PSN for $2.49. Those wanting their pinball on the go can download an Android or iOS copy off Android Marketplace and App Store, respectively, for $0.99.

Alan Wake launches on Steam, new diary for American Nightmare
Alan Wake has finally made its way to PC. After years of previews and a year-plus of coverage for the Xbox 360 version, Remedy’s psychological action thriller has launched for PC on Steam. A retail version, from Nordic Games, will be hitting store shelves “shortly.” The download version is $29.99 and features both available DLC packs, The Signal and The Writer, as well as support for multiple monitors and stereoscopic 3D. There are also multiple configurable control schemes and options to both hide the HUD and adjust the field of view.

Call of Duty Elite’s latest Content Drop, Overwatch, detailed
Call of Duty Elite’s third Content Drop has been announced for February 21. Live gamers will be able to download Overwatch, a map set amid a construction site situated on top of a skyscraper in New York. The site’s two levels feature a near-symmetrical layout, with a central bridge enticing players with a head-on brawl and side routes for flanking attacks. The site is also apparently run by a miser as there are no safety barriers, which means that combatants can have a long and messy 70-story fall if they aren’t careful.

El Presidente to pave way to glory in new Tropico 4 DLC
El Presidente has looked out on his island fiefdom and decided that it’s missing the kind of relaxing scenery only available through the heavy use of concrete. Nothing says tropical paradise like soul-crushing gray. And today he’ll get the chance to make his vision come to life with the Quick Dry Cement DLC pack for Tropico 4. The 400 MS Point/$4.99 release, available for 360 and PC, adds a new Cement Factory building, which speeds up construction across the island; the Constructor character trait; a mission theme involving building an island-wide city; and numerous decorations, including a small park, flower bed, and constructor statue.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 gets Lightning and Master Sergeant Amodar DLC
The first round of DLC for the recently released Final Fantasy XIII-2, titled Lightning and Master Sergeant Amodar, has launched on Live Marketplace and PSN. The pack includes a Coliseum battle to unlock Lightning and Master Sergeant Amodar for recruitment. Players must tackle the duo with Serah and Noel for a chance to climb the ranks and beef up their party.

Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition launches for 360, PC, PS3
Obsidian’s numerous contributions to the Fallout franchise have been collected into one compilation with the release of Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition. Now available for the 360, PC, and PS3, the Ultimate Edition includes New Vegas and all DLC released to date: Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues, Lonesome Road, Courier’s Stash, and Gun Runners’ Arsenal.

Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning released for console, PC
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, the latest action-RPG from 38 Studios’ Big Huge Games, is now available for the 360, PC, and PS3. The creation of the open-world adventure was guided by author R.A. Salvatore and features the work of The Elder Scrolls alumnus Ken Rolston. As a newly revived hero, players must travel the regions of Amalur as a human or elf in search of allies as they unravel their destiny and grow powerful enough to put an end to the evil plaguing the lands.
