CI Games’ upcoming open-world shooter Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 will be making its PS4 debut next month at PlayStation Experience 2016. The event is scheduled to take place December 3-4 in Anaheim, California. Attendees can drop by booth B2300 to get some hands-on time with a playable demo as well as grab a code to unlock an exclusive weapon skin. A contest is also planned offering attendees the chance to win one of several quadcopter drones.
The Elder Scrolls Online is getting into the season today with the commencement of The Witches Festival. Conjurors, demonologists, and other nefarious sorts will meet in secret throughout Tamriel from now until the end of the month. Through their magical incantations, players will be able to turn themselves and others in their group into the Undead, earn event achievements, gain a 100% experience boost, and score themed loot, including exclusive masks. To join, players will need to get the free Crow Caller from the Crown Store, then blow it to engage The Witchmother’s Bargain, a quest that will reward the Witchmother’s Whistle. Using the whistle will summon a cauldron that morphs players into the undead for two hours, during which time, they will be able to gain Festival loot by killing bosses for Plunder Skulls.
Bethesda has teamed up with Dark Horse to release a book based on the art of Arkane’s Dishonored 2. The Art of Dishonored 2 will feature exclusive pieces of concept art that chronicle the title’s development from the original. Fans of the series can look for it to hit stores and online outlets on November 22. The studio has also launched a contest where fans can submit their own illustrations for inclusion in the book. Pieces can be submitted by using the hashtag #drawDishonored. Aspiring (or current) artists can check out the rules over at Bethesda.net.
Turn 10 has released its first post-launch car pack for Forza Motorsport 6, the Logitech G Car Pack. The $7 set adds seven cars to the player’s garage: the 2013 Caparo T1, 1939 Mercedes-Benz W154, 1967 Honda RA300, 1967 Volvo 123GT, 2013 Cadillac XTS Limousine, 1994 Nissan #75 Cunningham Racing 300ZX, and the 2014 Toyota #12 Rebellion Racing R-One.
Total War: Rome II and Company of Heroes 2 are once again going head to head for Valentine’s Day. During the Make War Not Love weekend promotion, the communities of each title will be set against one another in three hour-long rounds. During that time, every in-game victory will be tallied for each side, and the winners will be awarded with free DLC for the victorious title. Special promo-only achievements can also be earned in each title. The competition begins at noon and ends at noon on February 15, and during this time, both games will be free to download through Steam and have their downloadable content discounted.
Sega has released another re-mastered update from their 3D classics line for 3DS, 3D Fantasy Zone: Opa-Opa Bros. The latest version of the side-scrolling shooter features stereoscopic 3D graphics, an unlockable mode with Upa-Upa as a playable character, and a coin stock feature that allows players to store coins across several sessions to unlock new abilities. Sega has also launched a new contest to coincide with the game’s release, offering contestants the chance to win a limited edition Sega hoodie. Check out their blog for more info.
Fans of Dragon Age: Inquisition’s ballads can take them on the go today with the release of several of the game’s tavern songs. All 10 of the tracks, performed by Elizaveta and composed by Raney Shockne, are being made available for free. Additionally, BioWare has released the sheet music from each track, which musicians can also use to enter a recently launched Fan Celebration Contest. The songs can be downloaded from the official site and will be free until February 9.
Ryse: Son of Rome’s multiplayer received a new add-on today, the Morituri Pack. The $7.99 download includes three new arenas for Gladiator mode (Beacon, False Gods, and Revolution), two arenas for Survival mode (Sulfur River and The Forbidden Forest), five arenas for Solo mode (the new Gladiator arenas plus Garden and Market), and the armor of Oswald, King of the Britons. Beacon tasks players with invading a barbarian camp, while False Gods has an Ancient Egypt theme and Revolution a post-collapse Western Roman Empire theme. Both Sulfur River and The Forbidden Forest are filled with traps that spring during combat. A contest to discover the final Easter Egg was also announced, details are available below.
