Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle delayed until October 10

Touhou Kobuto V: Burst Battle will be delayed, according to NIS. The upcoming shooter-fighter hybrid, originally scheduled to be released on July 4, is now set to launch on October 10. The release date holds for all consoles, NS, PS4, and PS Vita. The delay is said to allow for the accommodation of the game’s production and manufacturing.

Atlus to bring Persona 5 localization crew to Anime Expo 2017

Atlus announced that they will be bringing their localization team to this year’s Anime Expo. Several actors from Persona 5 will be in attendance, including Cherami Leigh (Makoto), Cassandra Lee Morris (Morgana), Erica Lindbeck (Futaba), Erika Harlacher (Ann), Max Mittelman (Ryuji), Robbie Daymond (Akechi), Matthew Mercer (Yusuke), Xander Mobus (Protagonist), and Xanthe Huynh (Haru). Attendees will be able to check out the panel in Petree Hall, Live Programming 1, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 1. Atlus will also be selling a host of wares in South Hall, booth 3906. Fans will be able to purchase t-shirts, plushies, hoodies, keychains, and other goodies.

Crash is back! Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy out for PS4

Activision has released Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Exclusive to PS4, the compilation features the first three titles: Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped. All of the games have been updated with improved audio, enhanced graphics, analog support, a unified save system, checkpoints, time trials, and leaderboard support. As an added bonus, each game can also be played through as Crash’s sister, Coco.

Switch version of Namco Museum to get Pac-Man Vs.

The upcoming Switch compilation Namco Museum is getting a +1 with the addition of some extra Pac-Man action. Bandai Namco has announced that they will be tossing in the four-player competitive release Pac-Man Vs. In the game, three players take on the role of the ghosts as they work together to hunt down the fourth player, who gets to control Pac-Man. Two Switch units will be needed to play with all four players, though, as the ghosts and Pac-Man each require their own system. Some of the other games in the set include Dig Dug, Galaga, Rolling Thunder, Sky Kid, and Splatterhouse.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Absolution launching July 6 for PS4

Infinity Ward is prepping to release Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s third downloadable pack, Absolution. As with prior drops, the add-on will introduce four new maps for multiplayer along with a new zombies storyline. The maps, detailed below, will feature golf courses, a frozen city, a shantytown within a wrecked ship, and a remake of Resistance from Modern Warfare 3. The zombies addition, Attack of the Radioactive Thing!, is set in a 1950s-era beach town after a government experiment has gone awry. Paul Reubens returns as director Willard Wyler who has once again trapped four characters within a film, now based around the famed Creature Features. The Scientist (Seth Green), the Rebel (Ike Barinholtz), the Soldier (Jay Pharoah), and the School Girl (Sasheer Zamata) are joined by narrator and horror icon Elvira as they utilize new traps, weapons, and powers against the undead hordes.

Culdcept Revolt bumped back to October 3, new trailer up

NIS has sent word that Culdcept Revolt has been delayed until October 3. It’s not all bad news, though. A new a trailer has also gone live, Way to Win, that teaches the crafting basics necessary for victory. Decks are created by combining three different card types (creature, item, and spell) from over 400 cards. To see the system in action, check out the how-to video below.

Halo Wars 2 adds Jerome-092, Ripa heroes in Icons of War DLC

Halo Wars 2 has received a new downloadable double pack, Icons of War. The drop adds two new characters, Commander Jerome-092, the leader of Red Team aboard the UNSC Spirit of Fire, and Arbiter Ripa ‘Moramee. Jerome-092 has the ability to inspire nearby troops, conduct a Field Promotion, and deploy the Spartans of Omega Team. Unable to hijack vehicles, he can summon Command Mantis onto the field with Mech Drop. Ripa can heal nearby units while increasing their speed and damage with the Conduit of Rage ability, and trigger Arbiter’s Rage to increase his own stats.

RPG Maker Fes released for 3DS, Disgaea DLC to launch soon

RPG fans can try their hand at creating their own adventures today with the release of RPG Maker Fes for 3DS. The app allows players to create and customize ready-to-play role-playing games with a suite of tools suited to the handheld. Stats, descriptions, color pallets, objects, and more can be accessed, modified, and placed. Owners can also download the Maker Player app for free to try out other work put out by the community. Players can grab the game digitally or physically, and soon, owners will be able to download Disgaea-themed drops that add characters from Disgaea 5.

Final Fantasy XV gets gunplay heavy with Episode Prompto DLC

Final Fantasy XV has received a new drop today, Episode Prompto. The character-specific add-on introduces a new storyline from the perspective of photographer Prompto Argentum. Lost in the wilderness, he must fight his way through Imperial forces as he makes his way home. Along the way, he’ll come across a new snowmobile and find himself joined by Commodore Aranea Highwind. A free update has also gone live that includes “various fixes,” new themed tracks in the Regalia, and also allows players to upgrade the Regalia to the off-road Type-D model at Hammerhead.
