Destiny 2 livestream reveals Guided Games, Countdown, new screens

As mentioned yesterday, Bungie hosted a livestream event today debuting gameplay from Destiny 2. The story will allow players to once again don the armor of a Guardian, solo or with a friend, this time to take down the Red Legion. But the stream emphasized that players do not need previous experience with the series to follow the story. Given that it will be available for PC, and on Battle.Net at that, the game is being represented as a fresh start. Two features were also revealed, Guided Games and Countdown. The former allows players to search for teammates to tackle activities without having a set group, absent in some modes in Destiny, while the latter is a new competitive mode. A host of new screenshots have been released showing some of the content covered and can be found below.

Destiny 2 will be on September 8 in a variety of editions for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. A standard edition will cost $59.99, while the Expansion Pass Bundle will run $89.99, the Digital Deluxe Edition and physical Limited Edition for $99.99, and a Collector’s Edition with wearable bag with pass and premium digital content for $249.99.
